Glorious location, great views, helpful owners, fabulous rooms. Owners were super clear when booking it is still being renovated so our expectations were appropriate
Directions to it weren’t great but that’s the worst thing I could say!

The biggest room we have ever stayed in!
Everything was great 😊

The suite is well laid out. Enough top space to put your own things. Grounds are beautiful. The building when completed will be lovely.
Shower was good. Hot water once it has run through and bags of room in the shower cubicle. Bath would be deep as a deep bath!
They bring breakfast to your room as no dining room. Which I would prefer to have it in my room if I had chosen breakfast. Really comfortable bed.
Responsive person at the halls when communicating via Booking.com messaging.
I was not able to get my room for 20 mins as the phone was not being answered on arrival. After many times of trying. The timer lights in all three spaces; the bathroom, bedroom and hall go off too soon so forever waving your arms. Need a longer time. Annoying when you have to keep doing this just while waiting for the nettle to boil.
Looked like room not been cleaned. Mirror dirty with splashes and toothpaste. Toilet bowl on outside was dirty. Hair in the shower and dust on everything. I expect the dust as the place is being renovated and you are
Told on booking.
No fridge to keep the milk. Luckily did not bring anything myself for the fridge just the milk I asked to be brought for the teas.
Not much room under the sink tap for taking water after teeth. Had to use the bath tap to fill the kettle.
Had to ask about breakfast when on site. Granola and croissants, could do with more choice. Not a cooked breakfast.
No key for the door so not able to leave room unattended to take in the grounds.

A unique experience in exceptional accommodation. We absolutely loved our stay!
Ben was so helpful- and we were lucky enough to have a guided tour.
Staying here was also perfect for a planned visit to Powys Castle- minutes away.
We’re already planning our return visit( loved the dog, too!)

What an amazing stay in a unique setting. So sad it was just for one night, will definitely come again!
I couldn’t fault it

Fantastic apartment set in beautiful scenery. Friendly honest owner Ben was there to meet me and was helpful and a good bloke.

The owner, Ben, was very friendly and most accommodating, offering us a drink on arrival and an invitation to the main house’s huge lounge. The suite was very comfortable and warm, despite the miserable weather outside; we both slept very well. There was a plentiful supply of hot refreshments in the room and a cooler available. We were offered the use of the main kitchen, again huge, but chose to eat a takeout from the local pub which we both enjoyed.
I wouldn’t describe this as things I didn’t like about the property, more thoughts of what is to be. The owner is in mid renovation of this very large historic building and grounds, which didn’t disrupt our stay at all. We will, hopefully, revisit one day to appreciate it’s full potential, grandeur and beauty.

After reading the history of the hall we were aware that it was still being renovated and despite this we were intrigued to stay there and were not disappointed. The hotel was a pleasantly quirky building sitting in its own grounds with plenty of history and full of character. Our apartment, bedroom and bathroom were very spacious, the bed very comfortable and the satin sheets were a nice touch. The proprietor, Ben, was really obliging and helpful - we look forward to revisiting the hotel and to see his vision for it come to fruition.
We couldn't take Ben’s dog, Rhu, with us

Fantastic place. Still a work in progress but everything so far very nice.
As this is a work in progress there were areas not finished etc.

Superbly decorated period property in stunning location. The bedroom and sitting room were spacious and comfortable. Coutyard garden outside ideal place to relax in the evening. Easy going friendly hosts.

The property is a work in progress, the room we stayed in was recently renovated, stylish, spacious and clean.

Location, history, views.. & Wow factor
Can’t wait to return to see the finished product
Due to the major renovations going on @ the moment- not able to fully appreciate the real Hall..
But after talking to Des - their plans sound impressive
And I wish them all the best..

It’s remoteness...a 1 mile drive to an amazing hall.
The history of the Hall and the massive amount of land that you can explore. Sheep grazing and hundreds of old oaks, redwoods and great variety of native trees.
A really friendly reception from the owner.
The place is already excellent to visit but ultimately will be ideal as a retreat for wellbeing weekends etc.
The night we were there a local shaman drumming group met. We didn’t hear any noise but by all accounts it was a big success.
Our apartment was very tastefully furnished with three rooms with original features and contemporary twists.
If you walk down the drive you come to the local pub that has 4 local real ales and loads of keg ales. The food rates high for pub grub and is definitely popular among the locals.
The hall is only 10 minutes drive away from Powis Castle which has one of the best Gardens in UK. You can walk from the Hall to the Castle but we didn’t as we were travelling onwards to Pembrokeshire.
Enjoyed the experience but wished we could spend longer to explore.

Ben is so attentive and nothing is any trouble at all

There is nothing to not like

could only offer continential breakfast as no restaurant - bed only accommodation - breakfast not mentioned on booking page
lovely place for a quiet escape from reality and take in the views and location
it didnt look anything like the pictures or video - would have been good to have a tour as some parts of building are lived in by owner , some work started on certain areas, and majority of building waiting to be converted into living/accommodation
