About this house rental
Recently added A/C. Ceiling fans are also installed throughout the home so the ocean breeze can be felt both inside and out. The delightful outdoor living area is complete with a kitchen, padded lounge chairs, an al fresco dining table, a vine-covered pergola, a garden, a fire pit, and a brick patio, all within a private fenced area. The location is ideal, with direct ocean views and only steps from the public access beach. Beach chairs, towels, and an umbrella are provided.
The home welcomes pets and can accommodate up to seven guests. The home is equipped with Nest smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers, and a first aid kit. Provincetown is known and loved for its pristine beaches, picturesque harbor, and vibrant art scene. P-town is also arguably the best-known LGBTQ+ summer resort on the East Coast. For almost a century, our town has been an iconic destination for folks identifying as LGBTQ+, and the bohemian spirit draws visitors back year after year.
Year-round, queer-friendly events include August’s Carnival, where 90,000 people gather to enjoy the camp and colorful parade on Commercial Street. May is our annual Single Women’s Weekend, and October is our flamboyant Fantasia Fair. We finish the year in style with our Santa race — complete with teeny-tiny swimsuits.
Martin House is perfectly positioned to enjoy the best of P-town. Located next to the world-famous Boatslip Resort & Beachclub, you can spend the day luxuriating by the ocean and enjoying superb hospitality. Whale-watching tours are available at certain times of the year, and sunset sailing trips can be enjoyed year-round.
Foodies will love Provincetown’s eclectic restaurant scene. The Red Inn serves consistently excellent food in a historic 19th-century setting, and Liz’s Cafe is our favorite spot for rustic brunches and fantastic cocktails.
If these walls could talk, this iconic home would have some stories to tell from its long life on the Provincetown shore. Step into this historic space, where one will immediately appreciate the careful preservation that has taken place over time. Sit at the bar and enjoy a cocktail in a tavern-like atmosphere to celebrate your arrival at this unique dwelling. Take pause where American Novelist Norman Mailer sat nightly when The Martin House functioned as a restaurant. In the welcoming living room, guests have plenty of seating on the couch or winged-back chairs. The dining room table accommodates six or more for a sit-down meal, with an additional table for six in the kitchen with a skylight above. Even the most discerning chefs would find themselves happily situated in this gourmet kitchen! The kitchen is outfitted with top-of-the-line appliances and amenities, including a Thermador 48" gas range, griddle, double oven, a Sub Zero side-by-side refrigerator/freezer, and a Sub Zero wine fridge. With three Fisher & Paykel dishwasher drawers and two sinks, cleanup is a breeze. At start of day, you'll delight in the full-service coffee & tea station offering Nespresso and drip options. Enjoy the ocean breeze on the private fenced patio with ocean views. There is a designated workspace and high-speed internet throughout the home. The study has a twin daybed for an additional sleeping space. A full bathroom with an antique cast-iron claw-foot tub is located on the first floor adjacent to the living room. Relax on a majestic four-poster king-size bed in the airy primary suite. The ensuite bathroom provides an amply-sized walk-in shower. The second primary bedroom features a stunning exposed brick chimney over the fireplace and a plush king-size bed. Step out the door to the second-level balcony and take in the sea views. Bedroom three has a queen bed and sitting area. The elegant second-floor shared bath has a walk-in shower.
