About this house rental
A conveniently located home just off Route 7A in the village of Arlington, VT, offering picturesque views of the neighboring wildlife preserve and Taconic Mountain Range. A stay here will allow you to connect with the outdoors and enjoy skiing and hiking or a leisurely stroll in the country. In summer, simply relax in your bright comfortable sun porch. You ski enthusiasts will be happy to know that Big Bromley and its scenic trails is just 25 minutes away!
123A converted hay barn with three levels of rustic country furnished rooms, accompanied by a sun-lit three-season porch offering excellent views of the neighboring Trust for Wildlife Preserve. The old barn has been renovated and expanded, now bearing little resemblance to its former exterior. The inside evidences the original construction with its aged wood and loose dimensions, however remaining cozy and comfortable.
From here, you can take a hike, cross-country ski, snowshoe, and ice skate. Nearby is the Arlington Recreation Park where you can play tennis, basketball, pickle ball, or enjoy free unlimited golf: (donation box at the course entrance). You may also consider a riverside picnic, stroll or brisk jog along the one-mile fitness circuit which runs along the Battenkill near the Park.
Fish, canoe, tube, swim in the famed Battenkill River at the covered bridge where Norman Rockwell lived and painted.
Driving historic Route 7A 15 minutes north will take you to Manchester or going south will take you to Bennington where in both locations you will find historical, cultural, artistic, and entertainment activities.
Visit the Bromley, Magic Mountain and Stratton ski and adventure parks. Nearby outlet stores include Armani, Orvis, Eddie Bauer, Brooks Brothers, Talbots, and many others.
Famed artist and illustrator Norman Rockwell made Arlington his summer home between 1939 and 1953. Some 200 local people appear as models in his works for The Saturday Evening Post. His famous "The Four Freedoms" was painted here in Arlington, featuring local residents as models.

The location had beautiful views of the pond and mountains with the foliage. The location is in close proximity to several restaurants. We were there to see family in VT, so it was very convenient. The place was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We would highly recommend this location!
