I truly didn’t want to leave. This house is amazing, fabulous, beautiful, and everything you can ask for, for a large family! Don’t bring anything, the house has everything you have at your own home. Just bring your food. All the rooms were so clean. There isn’t anything bad I can say. My family enjoyed it all. The outside view both behind and in the front of the house is lovely. Games galore (inside and outside) we had fun each and everyday. The view of the river is beautiful as we sat on the porch every morning. I miss staying there already. Book your stay, you won’t regret it!

We loved our stay here. We had a large family reunion summer vacation of sorts and this was the perfect location. Plenty of space and SO much to do right there at the house- the beach, so many water toys/activities, basketball, room for soccer, frisbee, bags, tons of board games and puzzles. We never lacked for entertainment! The house was clean and bright.
Owners were very easy to communicate with and knowledgeable.
Only small suggestions- more towels per bathroom, and the guest house above the garage could really use a small fridge and/or small coffee station.
We had a great experience. 10/10 would recommend.

I've stayed in many rentals on the Chesapeake Bay but this house is truly the best for accessibility to the water! You are steps away from a great beach while enjoying the beautiful views on the very large porch. The kitchen is well stocked to make meals and the beds are comfortable. There is truly no negatives at all to this rental, I enjoyed taking the kayaks and paddleboards provided to get out on the water and explore the cove. My family and I all agree this house was the best rental yet for our annual trip to the Bay!

Do not hesitate to rent this gorgeous home! I can’t wait to go back again! Everything was perfect, from the amount of beds and rooms, the cleanliness, the fully stocked kitchen, the beautifully decorated house and all the fun beach toys and the quiet cul de sac that it’s on. We took long gorgeous walks, laid out on the little private beach, ate dinner on the back deck, were fascinated by all the different wildlife that swam out flew by and just soaked in the beauty and peacefulness of this heavenly property while sitting on the comfy porch furniture.
We were having a girls weekend when I went but it’d be perfect for a couple families to meet up or a family reunion.

This is one gorgeous beach home. The location is so quiet. Waking up to the birds and the sunrise over the water was delightful. The home decor and setup are perfect. The house has everything you need—comfy beds, washer and dryer, a well-appointed kitchen, even towels for the beach. And outside there is so much fun to be had, with the kayaks, canoe, paddle boat, private dock to swim out to, plenty of seating to relax in, a fire pit, and even fishing off the lawn. We caught a dozen fish—fresh worms are their bait of choice. This was an excellent spot to leave the world behind and relax as a family. Thanks for the lovely stay!

This property suited our family perfectly for Memorial weekend!
The house was a great meeting spot for extended family that lives in different locations on the east coast.
The house is well appointed with plenty of rooms and bathrooms for adult and kids. The bedrooms are spacious with plenty of room for guests and luggage.
The screened in eating area over looking the water, back porch overlooking the water with rocking chairs, comfortable family room, spacious kitchen and guest quarters over the garage provided plenty of space for rest and relaxation. The location of the house is very quiet and peaceful.
We also appreciated the use of paddle boards, kayaks and life jackets to use at the house as well. It was nice to have less things to haul back and forth on vacation.
We enjoyed the boutique shopping in the area as well as the quaint dining options available. Having a grocery store in close proximity was also very convenient.
It was great to vacation without having to buy airfare! We would stay at the at the river house again without hesitation!

We stayed at the Oyster House with our family of six and had the best time. We could really tell the owners took so much care in making sure we would enjoy our stay. The house was really clean and bright and had tons of windows to enjoy the expansive view of the river. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals and we loved having an ice machine! There was a huge dining table on the screened in porch and we ended up eating all our dinners out there because the view is just amazing. Mornings we would sit out on the huge deck full of rocking chairs and enjoy the sunrise. The house also had several paddle boards, kayaks, and a canoe that we used to really explore and enjoy the river. The house’s beach is secluded from boat traffic since there is a small island off the coast so it was easy enough for our littles to kayak and paddle board too. We also loved that the house had a big enough grass yard that we could play yard games. The location was great. Only 10 or 15 minutes to grocery stores, ice cream and great restaurants. We had an adult night out at Adrift which was excellent and got pizza at Sals with ice cream at Stevie’s. All in all it was a perfect summer home to spend with our family.
