The living spaces include a kitchen/diner housing an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, slow cooker, dishwasher, a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, a sitting room with woodburning stove and Smart TV and a snug. The bedrooms include a king-size with en-suite shower and two twins, served by a bathroom. To the outside is off-road parking for four cars and a garden with furniture. Within 1.4 miles or less there is a shop and pub and please note one pet is welcome however smoking is not allowed. Travel cot, highchair, WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Book Midway Cottage for a wonderful break to Derbyshire.

Region: The ultimate in “year-round” appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales.

Town: The village of Whatstandwell sits beside the River Derwent, located close to its better known neighbours of Cromford, Matlock, Matlock Bath and the popular village of Crich. The area, located in the Peak District National Park, is full of history, with the National Tramway Museum a particular favourite amongst visitors to the area. Matlock, just a few miles away, offers a range of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as attractions such as Gulliver's Kingdom. Magnificent views of the gorge can be enjoyed from the cable car that takes visitors up to the Heights of Abraham - a great place for all the family with its show caves, nature trail, water gardens and owl maze. The nearby High Peak Cycle Trail provides a wonderful experience while further to the north the market town of Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Park, Haddon Hall and Carsington Water are not to be missed!
