Our family loved our stay in Saint Louis and this house offered a great place for us to gather in the evenings after we explored the city during the day! The host was also very responsive. Thanks so much!

Amazing historic home! We had two families with kids plus grandma. Everyone had their own space for quiet time when needed. Kitchen was fully appointed and we prepared big family meals. Plenty of room for game nights. Kids loved playing hide and seek. Location was great. Safe neighborhood near all the activities on our itinerary. Parking was perfect for our 3 vehicles. Highly recommend!

My entire family came out to celebrate my daughter’s graduation from SLU. The home was big enough so everyone had their own space, but we could enjoy time together on the main floor! Highly recommend this lovely historic location!

My sister and I stayed in this home with our children and it is magical! There's charm and beauty everywhere. The seating in the living room and dining room is plentiful. The kitchen has a lot of space and convenience for making meals. The pantry is wonderful for all of the snacks we brought. The laundry and half bath on the main floor made things even easier. The bedrooms are large and there are plenty of them! The bathrooms are nicely updated. The secret room is cute and we even found a trick wall between a closet and another bedroom on the middle floor. Having a long driveway to park in was icing on the cake. The only down side was the cold. It's an old and very large home so we had to rely on thick socks/slippers, throw blankets and warm drinks. If you need a place for a large group of people and love an old house, this one is the best we have found in the area. Oh! and the owner is quick with communication. We felt very well taken care of.

We had a lovely stay at the property after the holidays. It was a big house with lots of space for 8 adults and 7 kids to spread out and run around. Clean, quiet and host was very kind. Will definitely stay again!

I would definitely recommend this house especially if you have a large group. Three floors and bedrooms galore!

The house was great and spacious enough for our family group of 14. The house itself has lots of character and is beautiful with it's tall ceilings and stain glass windows. We were a bit worried before we got there about the location of the house but we had no issues and the neighborhood was fine. We would definitely stay there again.

Great house. We had 15 people ranging from age 1-mid 60s and the house was perfect. Plenty of space, lots of beds, great kitchen, and everything as described in the listing. It was really easy to get to various places like city museum and some great shopping. Host was really responsive as well. We will hopefully be back!

What a fabulous home full of rooms and beds. We had a girlfriend getaway and this house was perfect. We all had our own room to sleep in and enjoyed being together in the comfy living room. Overall a very comfortable home. Great location close to downtown. We felt safe. Owner was great and easy to work with.

My siblings and I booked the house for our immediate families to celebrate our parents 50th wedding anniversary. We planned several activities that happened to be nearby to do as a family. The house was a 10-15 min. drive to most of the activities and that was great. We felt very safe in the neighborhood and never had too much of an issue parking four vehicles in the drive or on nearby street parking.
The lodging arrangements were excellent as we had room for five families (15 people) to spread out. Only having two full bathrooms proved to be a bit of a trick, but we were able to manage.
We used the kitchen to prepare and serve several meals. The kitchen--while nice--is arranged rather poorly for meal prep. There were several items that were not available-Ex. mixing bowls, measuring utensils, spatulas, more than one 9x13 pan and cookie sheets. These could be remedied by a quick trip to the nearby IKEA. We also had to get creative to find a way to get the outdoor gas grill lit, as the ignitor was bad and there were no lighters available.
We ran short of toilet paper on day 3 of 5. Had to pick up more. Two rolls per bathroom is not enough for 15 people for 5 days
The air conditioning had a difficult time keeping up on the 1st floor. 2nd and 3rd floor seemed to be ok-the air conditioners were able to catch up during the evening. It was 90+ degrees for all the days we were there.
Overall, we were very happy with the house and would definitely utilize it again.

This beautiful, historic house that has been renovated was absolutely perfect for our friend reunion. 8 adults + 10 small children all fit easily into the space. The children loved the "secret" (servant) staircase and the butler's pantry, and the adults loved the beautifully preserved house. Thank you so much for sharing the space!

This was a wonderful place to stay. It was close to what we wanted to see and also to The Hill. Everyone raved about how fantastic the house was! It had plenty of space for our group of 11.

Overall a good. A few things of note. A very nicely furnished kitchen. If you want to cook your meals you have what you need. If you have problems with stairs do not stay here. Stairs to the front door and lots of stairs to each floor. We were able to park 2 cars in the driveway. If you have a very small car you might be able to park an additional car in the backyard. Back yard needing some work and furniture on deck was really dirty and unuseable. B

I don’t think the picture give this house the justice it deserves. It is so beautiful, the woodwork is stunning in each room, the stain glass transoms are breathtaking when the sun beams through.
We had a wedding to attend in the area and it was perfect location. The large living room and dining room were perfect places to gather to discuss the events of the day. The bedrooms were a nice size and had comfortable beds.
There are a lot of stairs, so if you have difficulty with stairs this might not be the best for your stay. If you can manage stairs you will NOT regret this house!!
I would stay here again if I come back to St. Louis.

We had such a great time at this house. It was nostalgic and cool to stay in it. The kids had so much fun and all the room were spacious. With our larger group we loved the large open feel and privacy with drive way and yard. We appreciated the kitchen and how stocked the house was with towels, blankets and pillows. We will definitely stay again.

We loved the location and size of the property. The owners were very responsive to all messages and flexible. The property was clean, well-stocked, and in a safe area. Our only issue was the 2nd floor shower was difficult and sprayed water everywhere even with our most careful use and some of the bed sizes seemed a little off (queens instead of kings). Our kids loved the books and crannies to hide in and play.

We had a great stay at this home. Very unique house, older with a lot of charm, large rooms, nice kitchen. We had 8 adults and 8 children, the dining room was large and with the extra table we were able to seat everyone for meals. Nice backyard and grill. Close to all the things we came to see: arch-zoo- city museum- grants farm and magic house. Navigation to all these places was easy. Thanks for a wonderful trip, host was easy to contact.

This historic home is absolutely beautiful, very well decorated, and in such a convenient location in STL.

Everything was good but it was brutally cold when we were in STL and the heating system had a hard time keeping 1st and 2nd floor warm

Each year our family gathers for Thanksgiving and St. Louis is a good location especially if a family needs to fly. All ages enjoyed our accommodations and various ones took advantage of ice skating, movies, Polar Express, aquarium, and lunch at Crown Candy Kitchen. We’ll be back next Thanksgiving.

This house was the perfect place for us as we gathered from out of town to celebrate our daughter’s wedding. Fifteen of us gathered comfortably for six days and nights - so centrally located to everything (wedding venue was two blocks away), a well-equipped kitchen, huge rooms, comfortable beds, super clean. And such a beautiful, old home in historic Shaw. Great communication with property manager as well.

Great place for large family in STL for reunion type of gathering. Many rooms accommodated our multigenerational group very well.
