While an off-road vehicle is not required, we do always encourage guests to utilize 4x4 capable transportation. Joshua Tree is an amazing place with endless adventures, and many attractions around town including our home are located down unpaved roads that can be challenging to navigate during times of inclement weather.

We are committed to protecting our properties and keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations, which is why you will be asked to complete our independent verification.

FAMILY & PETS:
We are family and dog friendly! Children 2 years old and above must be included as part of the total guest count. Please send us your dog's breed and age when booking. We do require a $100 pet fee and ask that you agree to our pet policy. We offer dog beds and dog bowls available for your convenience. Please keep pets off of all furniture including sofas and bedding, to minimize the risk of additional cleaning charges or unforeseen accidents or damages. Please be sure to pick up after your pet and dispose of waste in the proper garbage bins located near the driveway. Please see our House Rules for more information.
EXTRA GUESTS:
Guest count must not exceed the occupancy of the property. Keep in mind there is an added $50/night (plus booking fees & taxes) per guest for additional guests if approved. Any day guests must be approved prior to arrival. Day guests must leave by 10pm and are limited to a total of 4 guests. Children are considered as part of the total guest count.
VENDORS:
Landscaping and gardening service is on Fridays or on an as-needed basis based on weather demands.
PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF OUR NEIGHBORS! We are in a quiet, residential neighborhood. Please follow our County’s Good Neighbor Policy of no outside noise after 10pm and before 8am. Guests must refrain from any outdoor music, noise, or other disruptions that may cause a disturbance to the community during quiet hours. Failure to respect quiet hours may result in the cancellation of your reservation without a refund.
RESPECT:
There are strict county ordinances regarding excessive noise and light pollution after 10pm. Please respect our neighbors, and refrain from loud noises and outdoor music by 10pm. The home is equipped with a decibel monitoring sensor located inside and outside of the home to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. Removing the decibel monitor will result in a full security deposit loss and/or additional charges. Sink into the sounds of desert solitude, peaceful nights, and starry stars...
CHERISH:
Some of the things visitors to the high desert cherish the most are clean air, mesmerizing night skies, and the abundance of wildlife and fauna. Cigarette butts, trash and food left on the ground can hurt our precious ecosystem.
CLEANING:
Health & safety is our number one priority. Our in-house cleaning team is trained on CDC and WHO protocols. We take extra measures to ensure the home is sanitized and safe before every arrival. For this reason, we aren’t able to offer early check-ins or late check-outs. Thank you for understanding!
PHOTOSHOOTS & VIDEOS:
If you’re interested in doing a photoshoot or video shoot for commercial/business use, please share the details of your project ahead of time. You MUST get approval beforehand! If approved, we have an additional fee for licensing and usage. Photoshoots for your personal social media accounts are welcomed!
WILDLIFE:
You’re surely guaranteed to encounter wildlife on your stay including families of Quail, rare Albino lizards, insects, snakes, coyotes, and endangered tortoises and kangaroo mice. Please use caution when outside, especially at night with any pets and children.
NO SMOKING:
No smoking or burning candles. This is a non-smoking home. Any and all smoking should be kept outdoors at least 15 feet away from any exterior doors. There will be a $250 charge for anyone not honoring this guideline.
BACKYARD FENCING:
While we do have fencing around the entire property, please always keep an eye on your pets and children. Desert critters don't find fencing to be a deterrent to them in our shared habitat.
EV CHARGER:
We do offer an EV charger - level 2, tesla only 220 volts, 12-35 miles per hour. There is also a Tesla Supercharger conveniently located in town, as well as a public EV charging station nearby at Joshua Tree Distillery, which allows charging for up to 2 hours per day.

We arrived after dark and could not find light switches for the backyard. Using our phone flashlight, we found the power source for the hot tub- nothing happened when buttons were pushed. Frustrated, we went back inside hoping to snuggle up by the gas fireplace and watch a good movie. Could not find the power source for the TV or fireplace either. Three remotes lined up but no power for anything. We called the property manager's number and were told, "this line if for emergencies only. Reach out via email." So we did. Then the fire detector in one bedroom started chirping. Called the number back as we felt that was an emergency; nope. Not by their standards. They added our issue to the list and said, "maintenance will contact you." Disappointed and tired, we went to bed early. Never heard back from maintenance or the property manager. Got up, made our breakfast and were out the door. Nice home, layout was good, we were hoping to enjoy it more and were very disappointed in the experience overall.
