Nicely renovated, family owned and operated hotel. Easy check in and they accommodated our need for a first floor room. We had lunch at their cafe and the food was excellent. We’d definitely go back!

This is a motel with an outdoor restaurant attached. It’s in a good location and you can walk to many restaurants. The rooms are large and comfortable. It could really use a coffee maker. We had to leave early and really missed this amenity that most other motels have. The bed was very comfortable. Towels are thin and no hair conditioner. It’s a good no frills motel that’s clean and comfortable.

The stay was amazing! Check in was super quick and easy, I don't think it even took 5 minutes. The room was very easy to find and very clean. The beds were very comfortable. We were there for 3 nights and it was a great stay. Very close to restaurants, kidney springs, downtown. I will definitely be returning!

For the price we expected a lot more! We have had better super 8 hotels

My family and I stayed here for an evening while passing through town. We loved the little coffee shop at the end of the driveway! The cabin is very cute and a good size. There were 5 of us plus our dogs and we had plenty of space. My only complaint was the cleanliness. On of the beds had crumbs on it and the shower could have used a little more cleaning.

Quaint hotel with on site cafe. Staff is wonderful. Lobby has beer/wine, and gift items. Large walk in shower with massive shower head. Clean room, comfy bed, easy parking in front of your room. Close in proximity to the mammoth site, downtown shops/restaurants, among other tourist destinations. Visit The Space for good bites and live music.

Great location. Friendly staff.

We enjoyed our stay. Room was great, and staff were friendly and efficient.

Stayed at this hotel in July. This hotel was comfortable enough for the amount we spent in the room. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Bed was very comfortable but pullout needs replacing. Cleanliness of room needs work. The room needed a deep cleaning from top to bottom. I cleaned the microwave myself. Noticed that there were kids cleaning the rooms so that probably accounts for some of the issue. Also the rooms could use some paint and updating. The rooms are not as nice as the pictures on the website look. With that being said the cafe and coffee business on the property was fantastic!

We stayed here one night and reserve two cabins. Property owners were friendly and gracious. The cabins themselves were very nice all wood interiors. We made use of the on-site hot tub. It was a nice end to a long day in the car. What absolutely recommend.

Brought my daughters to stay while we explored the Black Hills. We felt safe and cared for. The owners and staff were attentive and made sure our stay went well. The Cafe that is attached had delicious food and it was nice to have it close by. The area is historic and close to walk to and explore. We miss it already!!

The staff and cafe were great. We had a cabin for one night. The couch looked dirty, the doors were loud and clunky and the beds were hard. It was nice having a sitting area so the kids could play cards. It was fine for the one night we needed.

The staff was amazing. Very good location.

It's nice to be in the downtown. The cafe with the hotel is super convenient and the best food... no need to go elsewhere. Like others said, you feel like you're staying with family - all the staff are so kind. Nice to be able to walk by the stream. Rooms were clean and sheets and blankets were great. Loved the barn door window and bathroom door.

Renovations are wonderful. Cafe has wonderful foo next to the hotel.

Wonderful. Safe, clean, quiet, comfy bed. Attached restaurant really good!

Conveniently located near Hill City (SD), Mount Rushmore, Needles highway, Custer Park, etc. I would return there but I wish they removed that old stained carpeting. Staff was very nice.

Loved the clean rooms and quiet atmosphere along with therw great food

Very good motel close to everything in town. The cafe gives residents free coffee.

All I can say that it was a perfect stay. Start to finish, everyone was friendly, everything was comfortable, and I could not ask for anything more.
The bed was conducive to a great night sleep and bathroom was clean and relaxing.
Do not miss eating at the cafe for dinner and breakfast.
And don't avoid getting greeted by Duke and Myles.

I give this property 5 stars! The owner was amazing and friendly upon our arrival. The room was clean and the beds were the most comfortable I have ever had in a hotel/lodge. We will definitely be coming back!

Beautifully renovated. Hot Springs has a great vibe. Will return!

Cute place, would stay again but not on Monday or Tuesday as the hot springs are closed. And they take pets. Owners very friendly.
4.6
Room was not very clean--plenty of dog hair was on the floor carpet. Shower tower was too old--when you used it, your body.was left with lots of tower fibers.
4.6
Though we know a floor with no carpet is easier to clean possibly, it feels dirty constantly because there is no carpet.
Maybe have a tile floor by the door and in the bathroom, and then carpet the remainder of the place so our feet are not dirty constantly. It also feels cold in there.
The coffee and food area is good but needs more help becuase it was a long wait time. The variety of foods did not satisfy the needs for morning food.
4.6
Perfectly suitable for my stay. No carpeting is an important criteria for me and Sping made for an obvious choice!

The hotel was fantastic. Vintage hotel all updated. Beds great, bathroom shower super. Very clean. Owners very friendly. Ate at the restaurant excellent food reasonably priced. Right in the historic area of Hot Springs wonderful location!!!!

We enjoyed a quiet, comfortable stay with our two dogs. We loved that the facility was dog friendly. Having the river trail next door made morning and evening walks convenient and comfortable. We look forward to staying again when we will be in town the next time.
4.6
Very clean. The bed squeaked every time someone moved. Rather annoying.
4.6
We loved our stay here. Check in was easy and cabin was clean! The beds were also comfortable! Loved that it was pet friendly.

This was a great pick for a night in Hot Springs. Easy walk to the waterfall, GREAT food for dinner and breakfast, and a fun cabin experience for the kids. What a gem of a family-owned and operated hotel.
4.6
Rooms are quite nice. Owners are very friendly. Price is right. Decent wine and beer is available for purchase. Two issues: 1) no hair conditioner or lotion in room 2) no daily room service which not a problem but when you have a guest staying 3 nights and only provide 2 wash clothes for a couple is a problem. We strangely got 4 towels but only 2 wash clothes. A person is dirty when washing so more wash clothes would be needed as apposed to towels.
4.6
A place to sleep, but great attached restaurant and coffee house
4.6
We stayed in a cabin. It was nice. The only downside is there wasnt anywhere to store our stuff so it was always somewhat under foot.
4.6
This was a very nice motel. Room was clean and staff was helpful and pleasant. The food at the cafe was reasonably priced and very good. There was a lot of road construction going on while we visited which made it difficult to get around, but not impossible. I highly recommend The Springs Lodge & Cafe.

Great location to downtown
