Really grateful for the budget friendly travel option in the centre of town. It suited our budget and was just a place to sleep for us so suited fine. We were in a top floor room and there was no noise from the pub below (Saturday night) or from people returning to their rooms, definitely the quietest of all the pub accomodation we’ve tried. We also scored a sink in our room plus power points which after reading the reviews here put down as a request when booking. The large bed was clean and comfortable. Towels and soap provided was all we needed. Plus communal tea / coffee area - we didn’t see anyone using during our stay.
Generally the place is a bit old and run down but honestly for the price I’m not sure what people are expecting. Lack of sink in the ladies could be an easy fix, otherwise we were happy with the amenities for the cost.

Location was good, easy walk to the town centre and beaches.
Looks like they’re undergoing renovations. While we were warned that the accommodation was basic with shared facilities, there was not even a power point in the room. Linen only, which appeared clean, but my daughter informed me after we left that her towel did not look clean. Also, the shared bathroom facilities upstairs were disgusting. The ladies upstairs only had one shower, which had black hair originally clogging the shower drain, but was move later by someone but still left in the shower stall. There was also no hand basin in with the single female toilet and bathroom facilities upstairs, so to was your hands you had to use the sink in the area close to the shared kitchen and other toilet. This wasn’t the case on the first floor which I checked before I left. There was no ceiling fans or fly screens on the windows, so my daughter ended up being bitten more than half a dozen times. We we meant to stay 2 nights but we left after the first. Another issue is there is no off street parking near the accommodation, so we we lucky that we arrive after the restrictions had expired on Saturday. Also, the access to the accommodation could prove dangerous as the door opens out onto the stairs which were quite steep and narrow, so potentially you could fall backwards or sideways as the banister wasn’t very high.

Le personnel est aimable et gentil, le logement est très bien situé
La vétusté des lieux, le bruit (il est impossible de dormir correctement)

Location was good.
Cleanliness was poor,
- I had brown stains on my towel
- I woke up with a hair in my mouth (and to my horror, it wasn't mine)
Maintenance is needed too -
- The light globe in the toilet was missing
- The walls were thin and i heard the couple next door having a good shag, so i opened the window to listen to the wind instead.
- the tarp outside my room made a lot of noise in the wind - so i had to close the window and continue to endure the shagging noises from next door.
- the room was a got a bit hot and because of the tarp making noise i couldn't open the window to fall asleep, at least at this point the shagging had stopped.
A fan and some power points would've been useful.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Good location. Even though there is a Bar on the ground floor, there is no noise coming up.
Our room didn't have air conditioning or power sockets. It was full of mosquitoes and very hot with no options to cool down. Fortunately, there were empty rooms with power sockets so the staff were able to change it. The facilities are very good, clean with a bath tub and a shower. The bar on the ground floor is great, good food and beer.

Had breakfast elsewhere.
Bedroom on level 1 requires proper "ventilation", a paint job and new carpet.
The ladies bathroom and toilets requires proper exhaust system due to unbearable smell.
Bedroom on level 2, in bad state! A big part of wall paper torn out. Requires a wall painting, new carpet and mattress.
Suggest: Amenities on level 2 should have an internal lock and a sign as it is shared by ladies and men.

The proximity to beaches, Showgrounds and cafes.
The bathrooms weren’t amazing, the rooms were quite hot and no fans or aircon, some of us got bed bugs or bites.

Comfortable bed, clean sheets, quiet room, communal fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Great location. Lovely staff.
No power point in room. One female toilet/ shower for entire floor- not adequate. Bathroom facilities poor - no handwashing basin in toilet area or room (there was a sign to use the men’s bathroom for this!)

The place is appalling! Out of order bathroom, the ladies toilet on the second floor no wash basin. Not hygienic especially COVID is still very much around. The Kiama Council should be notified about the condition of the hotel. We were booked for two nights, we only stayed for one night and booked at The Tasman Holiday Park for our remaining stay in the area. Booking.com should NOT recommend this place.

Terrible accomodation - this is at a PUB, which was not advertised when I booked. People I didn’t feel safe around live at this accomodation. Loud at night. Cigarette smoke smell in room and bathrooms. I didn’t actually make it through the night and had to leave… Booked for 1 week and had to leave the first night because I felt so unsafe here and deceived by the booking.com listing. DON’T STAY HERE UNLESS YOU’RE AWARE IT’S ABOVE A LOUD LOCAL PUB WITH METH-HEADS LIVING HERE.
