About this cottage rental
The Upper Peninsula's Hidden Gem! Struggling to find a quiet beach? Well, how about your OWN PRIVATE BEACH! This paradise in Rapid River has roughly 100 feet of private beach right on the gorgeous Little Bay de Noc. Words don’t do the incredible sunrises, sunsets and bonfires by the water justice. The house itself is spacious, with four bedrooms and three bathrooms to fit a big family. One of the bedrooms has three sets of bunk beds. The upstairs master bedroom has its own deck with water views, there is an updated kitchen and sitting area. There is seclusion and Mother Nature all-around, but for those who aren’t all about peace and quiet, not to worry! Across the street is a township hall with a playground for kids and mini-park for other activities. The home is only 30 minutes southeast from the stores, shops and restaurants of Escanaba, and an hour south of the same features Marquette offers. Oh, and the downtown of Rapid River has two good restaurants and an ice cream place! The perfect getaway for families large and small!

The house was spacious and perfect for our family of 13. The beach view was beautiful with a nice yard for the kids to play. There were many extra amenities like reclining beach chairs, kayaks, many games, washer and dryer, and most anything we needed to enjoy a wonderful, memorable week.

Our stay at this Upper Peninsula cottage was filled with fun and adventure, especially for the kids. First time visitors to the UP, the cottage was clean and spacious, providing a comfortable stay with multiple families. It came fully stocked with all the amenities we needed, making our stay effortless and enjoyable. The very spacious bunkroom was a hit with the kids.
The highlight was undoubtedly the private beach, offering fun days of paddle boarding and kayaking. The view of the sunsets were nothing short of spectacular. Each night ended with a bonfire and smores as we stared up at the clarity of the stars. We took a few day trips and enjoyed exploring the beauty of Pictured Rocks and Kitch-iti-kipi. We highly recommend the Riptide Ride tour at Pictured Rocks!
All of us agreed that this was our favorite vacation so far! We loved it so much, we booked next summer!
Thanks Amy!

Stayed here for our family vacation with 7 adults and 3 children and could have easily slept more. Great beach access, nice place to have a fire and relax outside.

The location of this home cannot be beat! Beautiful grassy yard for playing, and huge sandy beach, waterfront access and amazing views over Lake Michigan. Kayaks and a paddle board provided endless entertainment, as well as searching for unique shells and treasures in the sand. A true Northern MI lake paradise for our group of 8 adults and 24 children.
The layout of the home itself lent itself well to our large group. Living spaces were spread out to create several areas to hang. Large indoor and outdoor dining table, and well-equipped kitchen. **There is no AC in the house. The main living areas get a nice breeze off the lake, but next time we would bring some additional fans for the bedrooms (the hosts supplied a few fans too). Host very kind and extremely responsive to messages and questions.
Overall, fantastic stay and amazing memories made!

The property was the perfect size. There was more than enough room for entertaining. The kids really enjoyed the fire by the beach. We enjoyed the extra touches. We made use of all of the kayaks. My nephews enjoyed the basketball hoop. The host was super responsive with all my questions. The check in process was super easy. Would definitely stay here again.

The property was a perfect get-away for a friend vacation. We enjoyed the property and the lake for kayaking. Thanks for hosting!

We got a chance to really enjoy Michigan for the first time as a family in this large, comfy house with a beautiful view! We loved the private beach space! Amy was great to work with and even provided some fun beach amenities for our family which our kids loved!

The property was very nice. Lots of room for our extended family. And the beach was great. The kids loved it.

We were there for my mother's burial and to have a few days to relax & reflect on her. We were so happy to find this hidden gem. Amy was very responsive, the house was very clean and had so many extras. It is an inviting home with lots of space for everyone. We spent a lot of time by the water and playing in the yard. There was a lot of wood for campfires but we only had 1 day that the wind cooperated for us. Thank you again!!! When we have a need to rent in that area again i will be looking for availability here first.

Check in went well with opening the home and getting settled in. The home was found as expected and advertised. We had plenty of wood for the fire pit and even had charcoal for the grill! There were well placed notes to communicate guest expectations and responsibilities, and we had plenty of room for our family of 7 adults and one grandchild. The beach was our grandchild's favorite spo and there were even some sand toys for them to use. We also enjoyed the kayaks and supplied life jackets.
We took a short drive to Jack's restaurant which we recommend, went to visit the local lighthouse just down the road, and also checked out an amazing custom knife store!
The hosts were very quick to respond to any questions we had which mad our experience even more enjoyable.

The house, property and the area was wonderful. The family and I had a great thanksgiving meal and enjoyed all the area for all it has to offer. This is the second time staying at this home and it didn’t disappoint us.

This was our second stay here. We love the privacy of the beach and the amenities: kayaks, life jackets, games...wonderful for indoor and outdoor fun.

Our family had such an amazing weekend at this cozy, yet spacious home on the bay. The views are incredible and we spent tons of time outside soaking up the sunshine and beach glass hunting. Jeni was so responsive and a pleasure to use this terrific place.

This was our second time to stay at this property and we had a great experience. The location is ideal, so peaceful, right on the lake. The house is comfortable and clean and I see us staying there again.

Really enjoyed this place. Only downfall is distance from everything. Actually that may have been the best part. It was quiet and peaceful with deer and blue jays galore. Even saw an eagle family hunting along the coast in front of the cottage.

This property is even more incredible than the pictures show. We traveled with four small children and a set of grandparents. There was more than enough room for the eight of us. The view is breathtaking and fantastic beach access. The host Jeni was an incredible host and was so easy to reach. This is hands down one of the best homes we have ever stayed at in the last 10 years.

This house is in a great location with a wonderful beach area, we spent a lot of time outside. The house has a unique layout that gives people more privacy, this was great for our group. My only complaint would be that the cookware and knives are old and there is not enough cups and glasses for everyone, plan accordingly.

This property is on a beautiful private beach just steps from the house. The views of the sunsets from this location look almost tropical! The house is perfect for multiple families and we are so glad we were able to be together. It made the vacation so much better and memorable to have such an awesome location! Jeni is wonderful to work with as well and responsive to requests.

We had a wonderful long weekend to kick off our kids’ first week of summer in this lake house. We are familiar with the area having visited nearly every summer for the last 35 years so we know how great it is(!) but have been looking for a new home to accommodate our growing family and this spot was perfect. The kitchen and main sitting area retain a log cabin feel while the rest of the home’s additions are thoughtful and well spread. We loved the master bedroom loft and gorgeous attached bath. So light-filled with great breezes and lake views throughout. The kids were thrilled by the bunk beds in the guest room (though safety rails would be appreciated on the top bunks for littles) and this is one of the cleanest rental homes we’ve ever stayed at. Plenty of space for our newly crawling baby to explore safely and confidently. Even a closet full of games for our rainy day. Loved the fire pit and beach was spot on—perfect for rock and driftwood collecting and crayfish watching. Will be back… this time later in the summer so we can enjoy more time in the water. Way too nippy still in late May to fully enjoy the kayaks and swimming. Neighbors are close but friendly and street is quiet as a mouse save the crashing waves. Wonderful stay! Thank you, Jeni!

It was a nice property. The kids loved the bunk beds.

We stayed here to do some fishing. We had 3 trucks and boats and had plenty of space. There were adequate electrical outlets outside to plug in our battery chargers and air pumps.
Beautiful location and all the rooms and beds were very nice. We had six older adults and it was very good for all of us.The layout is a little funky but, it worked for us.
