Serenely situated at the edge of open forestland, this newer home in Rockaway Beach gives you the complete Oregon Coast experience. Stroll along the northern shore of Lake Lytle on your way to the beach each morning, and spend your days swimming, surfing, and boogie boarding in the Pacific Ocean.
This single-story home is located in the Manhattan Beach neighborhood, about half a mile inland of a beach access point at 13th Avenue. You'll be even closer to Lake Lytle with its public fishing dock and abundance of birdlife. Downtown Rockaway Beach is just over a mile south, home to an array of restaurants, shops, and ice cream parlors. And if you're eager to get out and explore, the fishing village of Garibaldi, charming Manzanita, Oswald West State Park, and the Tillamook Creamery are all within 15 miles.
As a newer build (2020), this home has a wonderful polish both inside and out. After a day at the beach, toss your swimsuits in the washer/dryer, unwind in central air conditioning, and leave your kids to play in the fenced backyard. The evenings are for cooking together in a well-equipped kitchen (with stainless steel appliances), playing board games with a movie streaming in the background, and stargazing in the warmth of the propane firepit out back. Of the bedrooms, one is a primary suite overlooking the backyard with a TV and bathroom of its own.

Overall we had a lovely stay. Loved the location and the home was cozy & located in a great area

This is the best vacation home I’ve stayed in! Such a good size and layout. Really easy check in and check out. Very clean and tidy, so many amenities. All the kitchen gadgets you could need, even seasonings and oil. They provided dish washer and laundry detergent, shower soap, etc. There’s a pack n play in the closet along with a counter high chair attachment. The outdoor fire pit was so nice and the kids loved the ping pong table in the garage!
We had fun walking to the lake and into town. A neighbor even let my kids race his rc boat on the water for a bit. Excellent experience

Pros: New house, clean, well stocked kitchen with quality items. Kids loved the 2 bunk beds.
Cons: Steep driveway. You need to drive to the beach (but it's close).

This home was just what we needed. It was a ten minute walk to the beach, a five minute drive to several local restaurants, and within thirty minutes of great hikes and fun tourist spots like Tillamook Cheese Factory. My friends and I had the perfect amount of space to ourselves and all the supplies you would expect from your own house. I really appreciated how neat and clean the home was. It was the perfect spot for our weekend getaway!

When we were not hiking, shopping or hanging at the beach, this place was perfect to come back to and relax. It was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of space for everyone.

Was very quiet and clean and not far from the places we wanted to go. Beautiful property and very affordable.

We loved our stay at this Rockaway Beach home. We were there during a rainy weekend, but this house kept us nice and warm. There was plenty of room for us and our kids to spread out and enjoy some time indoors. There is a ping pong table in the garage, cable TV service, and a fully furnished kitchen. There were sand toys in the garage, so during the break in weather my kids had fun with the toys at the beach. Everything was nice and clean and I love the Hawaiian/beachy decor and theme. It’s hard to find a nice size home for my larger family, and this one is perfect. It was also a couple of blocks away from a lake, and during better weather, it would have been so convenient to check out. My kids loved that there was a propane firepit in the backyard so we could make s’mores. The town of Rockaway is cute, with the coastal train running through it (though you can’t hear it from this rental house), great beaches and fun little shops and restaurants. We can’t wait to plan another vacation at Hale Nahele!
