Sweet Retreat, Stanthorpe, is a modern country residence on a unique one-acre block in the heart of Stanthorpe on Queensland’s Granite Belt. It is the perfect place to unwind and indulge in the simple pleasures of life with friends or family as a weekend getaway or holiday destination.
The home features generous living spaces, three bedrooms, a spacious bathroom, study nook, and large outdoor area overlooking a petite brook and expansive yard and paddocks. It has something special for everyone. On a chilly winter’s evening the log burning fireplace gives ample warmth while a reverse-cycle air-conditioner provides a comfortable stay all year round. Unlimited wireless internet, a large screen TV, DVD and CD player together with an extensive collection of books, CDs and DVDs provide a range of entertainment options.
The kitchen is equipped with everything needed to create culinary masterpieces from the region’s local delights as well as a breakfast bar, dishwasher, microwave, oven, and full-size fridge. The laundry is available for guests.
The lavish main bedroom has stunning views to admire each morning and direct access to a covered deck. The second bedroom features a cosy double bed and sitting chair to relax and refresh. The third bedroom has a king-single trundle that can accommodate two people upon request. All bedrooms have large built-in wardrobes and luxurious bedding. Quality towelling is provided and locally-made soap and handwash will make any bathroom experience a treat.
Embrace the country life and spot wildlife from the large covered verandah. The carport and nearby level ground can accommodate cars and a caravan. The gently sloped land and stream provides lots of space for the kids to play and explore.

Stanthorpe’s main attractions including the Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery, Library, restaurants, cafes, and Weeroona Park – the site of the region’s biennial Apple and Grape Harvest Festival – is just a short 5 to 10-minute stroll.
