Welcome to The Skydeck, one of Vancouver’s most unique and incredible vacation rental experiences.
This beautifully styled, two-story penthouse condo exudes elegance and comfort. It has 1625 square feet of interior space, and dramatic 600 sf rooftop patio with private hot tub and stunning views of the city, year-round. The views from the hot tub overlooking the "five sails" Canada Place convention centre & cruise ship terminal, downtown and the North Shore mountains, is unparalleled.
Few places could offer a rooftop patio like this, with a hot tub experience unlike many others around the world. You'll enjoy a phenomenal view while relaxing in the warm water, drink in hand. There is a full outdoor dining table for al fresco meals, and a very comfortable patio sofa set that surrounds the fire table.
From the rooftop patio, the lower balcony, or even the living room and kitchen ...watch the sea planes take off on Burrard Inlet (Vancouver's Harbour), look down on Rogers Arena and BC Place Stadiums, or have a look at the other Vancouver landmarks including: Science World, The Sun Building, Harbour Centre, False Creek, the mountains, or even pick out your room on the cruise ship docked at Canada Place, which you'll be see clear as day from one of two outdoor balconies.
Inside you’ll find a bright living room and spacious kitchen with wrap-around views, cozy stylized bedrooms (with blackout blinds for sleeping & the primary with a 55" Samsung TV wall mounted for watching anything you like in bed), plus 3 bathrooms.
Whether you are from around BC and here for a concert or hockey game, or travelling from around the world on, I hope to offer your the most comfortable, enjoyable, and memorable stay possible, in this magical setting. I take your holiday very seriously :)
I have one of the most detailed and curated guidebooks that I share with guests on booking, to help plan your trip or find something new even if you are familiar with the city.
HIGHLIGHTS:
-One of the best locations in Downtown Vancouver (or THE best if you are coming for a concert, event, or Canucks game), central to it all in the Stadium district. The “Crosstown” neighborhood is just that, connected to Yaletown, False Creek, Gastown, The Granville Street entertainment strip, plus Robson Street and Pacific Centre shopping are all within a few minutes walk or one stop on the train.
-The already mentioned large patio space & fire table and PRIVATE Hot tub.
-A well stocked kitchen, with a large counter area for preparing dinner or drinks with the whole group
-Two sleek AC Units (primary bedroom and living room) to keep the place cool in the summer!
-There is also a shared complex pool/hot tub/gym amenities.
AMENITIES - The España complex has better than hotel level amenities:
-a shared pool and hot tub, right downstairs from my suite.
*Pool Hours are 6am - Midnight daily, with a one hour closure for maintenance between 10-11am.
-a fitness centre/gym, again right downstairs.
-24 hour security on site.
-a very pleasant guest/resident only interior courtyard with water features.
-a children's playroom stocked with toys, and loads of room to run around!
SLEEPING (up to 6 people)
-(2) New California king-sized DreamLife Cascade mattress (What the Whistler hotels order) plush pillow-top in the primary bedroom sleeps two.
-(2) Queen-sized Beautyrest mattress in the second bedroom sleeps two.
-(2) Sofa-bed (queen-sized) in the living room sleeps up to two.
WORKING?
High-Speed Telus fibre optic internet throughout the suite with a booster in the upper primary bedroom (that also boosts onto the patio).
EXTRA TOUCHES - these thoughtful touches will make your stay:
-Stainless steel Keurig coffee maker to start your day off right. I provide a few K-Cups to get you started but bring more if you are here for a longer stay or really like your coffee! A drip maker if you prefer to bring your own ground coffee.
-All pillows and mattresses have a high quality protector/encasement underneath the sheet set. The main beds have both an encasement and a top protector, in addition to the sheets.
-Wireless phone chargers on each side of the beds - no looking around for the outlet, just lay your phone down on the pad before you sleep. Another 6 port wireless charging station in the living room for all other guests and devices.
-4K cable and TV - watch the news or big hockey game (many Airbnb's do not have regular cable).
-Blackout blinds in both bedrooms, as well as high quality shades in the living room, so you can actually sleep in and have any amount of privacy you want.
I can't wait to welcome you to Vancouver and help you get the most out of your stay while you’re at my place. Whether you're a BC local, familiar with the area, or an international guest, my highly detailed guidebook has curated the best experiences, restaurants and bars nearby and will help you plan out your perfect trip. And, I'm always happy to personally assist with ideas for your stay or questions.
Welcome to Vancouver!
DOORBELL CAMERA: I have a doorbell security camera at the front entry door which only views the public hallway outside my unit (just as there are security cameras in our elevators), to discourage parties etc.
BOATING: In the summer months or with enough notice, I offer my guests a discount on my top-rated yacht tour experience, if you'd like to see the city by water, or spend a day dining on one of Vancouver's nearby islands. I am a full licensed and Transport Canada certified charter captain. If booking for the summer months I would advised booking well in advance as the dates fill up very quick through other travel agencies, boat tour companies, and the hotels that use my service.
FINAL NOTES: As Canada's warmest climate, Vancouver (like L.A. in the states for example, and many large urban cities), encounters a significant homeless population. The "Crosstown" area is right downtown and a very safe area, but you will most likely encounter someone who appears homeless or experiencing addiction issues or panhandling around the building. There is 24 hour security at our building that you can phone if there are any issues of concern. And if you are someone bothered by the sight of or interactions with these people, I would recommend looking at the Hotel Vancouver or one of the expensive hotels, although this issue does extend to all of downtown.
Also, please bring your Costco card with you, as the Vancouver store is just across the street outside the back door (across from Rogers Arena)!
EASTER EGGS!
If you got this far, you may have guessed the theme for the images on the TVs ...they are all movies or TV shows filmed in Vancouver. In order:
-Fifty Shades of Grey (filmed right outside my office)
-Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (Tom Cruise, including the ending shot at Granville Island)
-The Interview (James Franco and Vancouver's own Seth Rogan)
-Deadpool 2 (Vancouver's own Ryan Reynolds; a main action sequence filmed on nearby viaducts)
-Hot Tub Time Machine (John Cusack)
-Elf (Will Ferrell)
-The Twilight Saga (Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart)
-Happy Gilmour (Adam Sandler)
-The X-Files (My fav show growing up, and my freind was a PA to David Duchovny during a reboot)
Park for FREE, so enjoy getting around Vancouver easily by car, as well as being steps from transit (Skytrain and Seabus). Walkable to just about everything in the downtown core.

Our stay at The Skydeck was nothing short of spectacular! This two-story penthouse offers a truly unique experience in Vancouver. The panoramic views of the city skyline, harbor, and North Shore mountains from every room left us in awe.
The rooftop patio is the crown jewel. Soaking in the private hot tub while overlooking the city lights and Canada Place was unforgettable. We loved gathering around the fire table and watching the sun set.
Inside, the penthouse exudes luxury. Stylish decor, high-end furnishings, and attention to detail made us feel like we were living in a design magazine. The bedrooms were cozy retreats with much-appreciated blackout blinds.
What truly set this experience apart was the owner's exceptional hospitality. When one of our bags was lost, they went above and beyond to assist us. Their comprehensive guidebook was invaluable for discovering local gems.
The Skydeck isn't just a vacation rental; it's a destination in itself. It offered us luxury, comfort, and views unparalleled in Vancouver. Whether you're in town for an event, family vacation, or romantic getaway, this penthouse will elevate your Vancouver experience to new heights. We're already planning our return!

We enjoyed the Skydeck Penthouse so much and would not hesitate to stay there again! Very spacious and comfortable (two thumbs up for the beds and pillows), with a fantastic location in the city. We stayed with another couple and there was plenty of room for hanging out in the spacious living room and kitchen or one of the two decks (yes two decks!), but also lots of privacy for all. Each suite has its own full bathroom with great showers and tubs, and another half bath for the living room area. The upper hot tub deck is amazing and truly unique; well furnished, with comfy seating and full table and a beautiful hot tub with the best views for miles day or night! Great WiFi, as well as free parking. Communication and instructions with Dave were excellent, from check in to check out it was a breeze. Thank you Dave!! We will have to plan ahead to book, as we are sure with what a gem this place is it will book up quickly.

We felt home at Dave's place, it's nicely finished and welcoming. Our party of 2 adults and 2 kids had a lot of space to spread out between two floors. Sundeck with hot tub is amazing experience at any time of a day. We enjoyed it several times. Building has a nice pool, Jacuzzi and sauna. Perfect relaxing combo after busy day.
Kitchen was well stocked if you plan to cook, we didnt with so many dining options in walking distance.
Thank you, Dave, for sharing your place with us!
