Ubytování nedaleko moře. Možnost stravování přímo v hotelové restauraci. Jídlo velmi dobré a personál ochotný a příjemný.

Warm greeting. Spacious room with kitchenette, larger than average bathroom, balcony and air con. There are 2 smallish pools onsite and both were clean and warm. Bar/restaurant served til a decent hour and the breakfast was tasty with unlimited coffee and juice. Plenty of free private parking and lovely garden area with plenty of visiting birdlife. This place represents fantastic value for money! Furthermore there's a supermarket a stone's throw away and a buzzing Mexican restaurant with lethal cocktails within a few minutes walk.
If you're given an upstairs room, remember you'll have to drag your suitcase up. It'll be worth the effort.

very nice room, big and super clean.
it's a very large hotel with dozens of rooms and outdoor spaces with pools and bbqs. Perfect for having fun with friends and family. Not so perfect for those in search of peace and quiet.
Very noisy place, there was a private party with loud music and loud people that went on for the entire sunday. No chance to enjoy some relaxing time.

Nicole from reception was very helpfull! Nice place, room with a small kitchen, good vibe, pool, near the beach and minimarket/restaurant.
Room without window and the smell was bed. Wifi wasn't good in our room, but in the lobby was ok. On Saturday was a lot of families and was a long parties and noise.

It was a perfect hub for me to explore from. The little market, Mareas, is just around the corner and has most anything I need. The proximity to the beach was a short walk away - very convenient. The hotel itself is very well maintained and is designed to be very fun with a lot of people.

Clean comfortable room with a nice bed and shower.

The staff was amazing, going out of their way to be extremely helpful! The property was clean and nicely manicured. There were 2 large above ground pools which were also well maintained. We had a small efficiency apartment with a/c, hot water, fridge, microwave and dishes. There was a front patio with a table for outdoor dining which we enjoyed in the morning.
Other than a convenience store, there wasn’t much within walking distance. However, the front office would call local cabs which arrived within minutes and would take us a couple of miles into town. The fares were very reasonable and the drivers would leave their number for return trips.

We found cockroaches all over the place!

The beds were really good, nice to have a fridge. Private patio for breakfast to sit outside and relax. Wifi was great.
The pool was a bit dissapointing.

The location is great.
Wifi works very well.
Nice rooms with balcony.
Because our AC wasn‘t working we could change the room to a better one. Really nice from the staff.
The pool is a bit unorthodox and really hot.
There isn‘t a real space to relax.

Our stay was good, property was extremely clean.
There was noise from the room next to us, not the fault of the property

Loved the above-ground pools, the kitchenette, and the outdoor seating area. There’s a small super nearby where you can get supplies and the staff are very helpful. Very close to the national park entrance too.
It was a little difficult to get to the property without a car. The bus times in Costa Rica are inconsistent and we got dropped off in town (instead of at the nearby bus stop) an hour walk from the property. There’s no Uber in Uvita but the hotel called a taxi for us to get to the bus station when we were leaving.

Pool, garden, nice and helpful receptionists.
Room had no window. Room was not cleaned every day.

Fridge
The room had no windows, so if you wanted fresh air you had only the aircon…
but there was a milk-glass built in the ceiling so morning there were total brightness you could not sleep further.
The kitchen was well under equipped: no cooktop, no pan, no pot, no any equipment to cook just an electronik hotplate.
The dinner set was dirty.
There were no place to hang out wet clothes or swimsuits.

Really nice and chilled place in the week. X2 swimming pools was really good. One warm and one cool. All set with a lovely tropical garden. Room was perfect good shower/bathroom. Great little kitchenette with very thing you need. Beds were very comfy. There is a little supermarket 50 metres down the road. Fairly well stocked. Short walk to the national park and beach. And a short taxi ride to bus stop or half hour walk. Really loved this place!
It's a bit noisy on the weekends as the place fills up with people /familys coming down from San Jose for the weekend. Cleaning Staff doing the change over of rooms make a lot of noise really early in the morning dragging the furniture around the rooms this was quite annoying. We got woken up by this happening a few times ☹️.

The beds were comfortable, the pools were refreshing, the property is within walking distance to the beach, and a short drive to many great things to see, do, and eat!
I can’t think of anything we didn’t enjoy about our stay at El Tecal.

Nice quadruple rooms, for that price it is best what we have had in Costa-Rica. Other places for that money offer old-school and ugly rooms.
The stuff didn’t speak English well and made a huge mistake with the booking - we booked a big quadruple room for three of us ( we extended our stay at the reception), and on the day we needed to move in our new room, the woman on the reception told “oh, I thought you need that room only for one night”. She wasn’t sorry, she was hurrying us up to move out of
our previous room, knocking on the door and talking rude. The “solution” she offered was to move to a tiny one-bed room the day after. She didn’t cancel the booking for the family who took our expected big room - oh,no! As the result - one night we stayed in appropriate room for 3, and then we had to move to that tiny room!Any apologies from the hotel - oh, no! we tried to ask for a free transfer to another hotel where we could also stay, and the woman at the reception had made very surprised face and said: “For free?! Nooooo!”
There was the only decent girl working at the reception - her name started with D… She was nice and helpful, smiling, speaking English and even helped us to open the bottle of beer ( without the beer opener , which the hotel of course didn’t have).
The coffee machine at the public kitchenette was empty most of the time. Had to beg for coffee every morning.
No proper room cleaning.
So it is a well-made camping, but not a hotel.
