A perfect retreat for families or larger groups, our vintage Italian-designed villa blends community and private spaces perfectly. Equipped with all the amenities to make your stay unforgettable, it is rich with European architectural details and artistic decor.

The main part of the home is centered by "The Tiki Suite," a one-bedroom, open-concept apartment.

With its own kitchen and breakfast bar, bath with rain shower, and living area, this is where your group will want to gather. The Tiki suite includes AC and a workstation, and a single bed customized for lounging that can accommodate an extra guest.

Two guest bedrooms - the Playa Room and the Selva Room - are on either side of the Tiki Suite and share the terrace.

Two more guest rooms - the Mariposa Room and the Tortuga Room - are accessed via an exterior foyer that is shared with our apartment.

(Yes, while we respect our guests' privacy, we'll be neighbors - so you won't be left to fend for yourself if anything comes up!)

Each bedroom in the villa has an exterior entrance door and en-suite bath, making this a perfect location for a company retreat or family vacation.

Located in a townhouse that includes 4 other casas terraced down a hillside, Tico Tiki encompasses the entire single-level villa at the top plus two hotel-style guest rooms located adjacent via an exterior foyer (see the floor plan for details).

Although you may run into other guests while walking around the property (everyone has access to the adjoining butterfly gardens and hiking trails), the unique architecture creates a feeling of privacy and provides plenty of space for groups to spread out.

While we welcome large families and groups of friends, please note this is NOT a place for loud parties - respect for our neighbors and peaceful enjoyment of the tranquil environment is appreciated.

We'll coordinate with you to arrange the best times for housekeeping and pool maintenance, so everything will be sparkling clean while you relax!

Laundry service is available for a small fee.

Our vintage Italian villa is tucked into a quiet neighborhood on a hillside, stroked by ocean breezes. The location is practically perfect!

Just 150 meters from the beach, you can walk down the 120 steps through the jungle and be on the sand in 5 minutes. From there it's an easy, 10-minute stroll to the main street and all that Sámara has to offer.

Note: when hiking uphill to get back, the last 5 minutes are invigorating. ;-)

We're on the edge of the jungle just outside of town, so wildlife visits are abundant!

Expect to see howler monkeys in the mango trees... hummingbirds, iguanas, and butterflies on the terrace... and pizote (coatimundi), raccoons, and 2 kinds of iguana foraging on the hillside.

Everything is accessible by foot.

The beach is a five minute walk. From there you can stroll up the beach to the town center in ten minutes.

Driving a car? There is plenty of room to park right in front of the villa. We send you our driving directions the day before check in and they include parking instructions.

Please note that only 3 of the 5 bedrooms have AC (click on the photos of each room for details about their amenities), but most guests find the fans and ocean breezes sufficient for comfort.

Also, although our villa is perfect for families and groups, we urge parents to use caution. Due to the low terrace wall and open access pool, we generally encourage those with children under the age of 12 to inspect the photos carefully and consider their children's activity level and unique safety needs before booking.

2) Tico Tiki already has enough animals, so pets are not allowed.

3) No smoking or loud parties; we want all our guests and neighbors to feel comfortable and secure.

4) Quiet hours are 10pm - 7am.

NOTE: We recommend all travelers purchase Travel Insurance to cover you in the event of unforeseen circumstances. Let us know if you would like some recommendations.
