Grassings has a kitchen/diner, utility and a sitting room with woodburning stove. Appliances include a double electric oven, 5-ring electric hob, microwave, American style fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher and for entertainment there is a Smart TV and WiFi. The bedrooms include a four king-size rooms, one with en-suite shower, and a double with en-suite cloakroom, served by a shower room and bathroom. Outside there is a large garden patio with furniture and kitchen, along with off-road parking for four cars. You can find a shop and pub in 0.8 miles and please note, sorry, there is no smoking. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in rent. There is also a travel cot, highchair and stairgate. Grassings is a luxury base in the Lake District. Note: Limited headroom in second bedroom.

The other famous Hawkshead enthusiast, William Wordsworth, attended the Old Grammar School in 1779-87, which still stands today, and you can visit the building where the Lakeland poet developed his love of the form, and even see the desk into which he scratched his name as a small boy! Newby Bridge is ten miles away and offers attractions such as the Aquarium of the Lakes and Windermere Lake Cruises, sailing daily between Ambleside, Bowness and Lakeside. With stunning scenery and numerous attractions within easy touring distance, Hawkshead is in an ideal location at any time of the year.
