Woodland Cabins is the premier retreat cabin destination in Southern Illinois!!! Just 5 miles southwest of Carbondale and on the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail, Woodland Cabins sits at the edge of Southern Illinois rolling hills and the Shawnee National Forest. With four luxury accommodations and sitting on 44 acres of seclusion where mature woods blend harmoniously with expansive open fields, Woodland Cabins guarantees an unparalleled retreat experience.

Fern Glen Cabin: Nestled among the trees on our expansive property, this rustic retreat is one of four cabins designed to offer unparalleled privacy. Featuring generous multi-level decks, a distinctive hot tub and fire-pit enclave, and a charming front porch swing, Fern Glen stands as our most secluded abode. The cabin boasts a studio layout with a king-size bed, a cozy family room, and a fully equipped kitchen.
Adjacent to the cabin lies a three-acre pond, inviting guests to enjoy fishing and leisurely strolls along the dam. Our wooded areas and fields are perfect for exploration and contemplative walks, where observing diverse bird species and wildlife becomes a cherished pastime. Regular guests include deer, wild turkey, red foxes, pileated woodpeckers, songbirds, and migrating waterfowl. For the fortunate observer, catching a glimpse of "Fraidy," the bobcat, adds an extra touch of wilderness charm!
Our luxury accommodations are designated as "romantic retreats," providing an ideal sanctuary for couples, close family or friends. Whether basking in the morning sun or bidding farewell to daylight, the serenity from your private deck, complete with its own hot tub, fosters an atmosphere of relaxation and romance. Amenities: Each cabin is equipped with an outdoor hot tub, a gas log fireplace, flat-screen HD TVs featuring the basic DirecTV satellite package, a DVD player with a curated selection of movies, and an outdoor fire pit with supplied firewood. Towels, linens, hair dryers, and all the essentials for a comfortable stay are provided. Full kitchens, stocked with appliances, utensils, pots and pans, and a gas barbecue grill, ensure a home-away-from home experience. Complimentary provisions include coffee, creamer, sugar, salt and pepper, paper towels, toilet paper, and trash bags. All cabins afford access to the serene lake.
