About this villa rental
Villa Artia combines functional design and an excellent location. Inside, sea views from every corner and natural light everywhere. Outside, multiple seating areas, a front yard with a barbecue and a wood-burning oven, flower beds and a swimming pool patio. The blue of the sky and the sea together with the green of the mountains that surround the site compose a scene of natural harmony. The mild climate of the area and the absence of overcrowding complement the conditions for reconnecting with the environment and oneself.
Villa Artia is a maisonette with an internal surface of 159 m² on a plot of 800 m². The main indoor and outdoor spaces are located on the ground floor, consisting of an open plan living room with two set of sofas, dining room and kitchen, as well as a double bedroom and a bathroom. The large terrace of the ground floor, overlooking the sea, has an area of 50 m², while a smaller terrace has a view of the mountain. Upstairs are three bedrooms, two with a king size double bed and one with two single beds, and two bathrooms. All bedrooms are equipped with A/C and closets and they all have balconies.
The positioning of the residence within the plot and the configuration of the surrounding area have aimed not only at optimal thermal and visual comfort, but also at creating privacy areas in the outdoor space. The residence has been integrated into the landscape with the use of natural materials and earth tones. To harmonize with the natural landscape, we have kept three olive trees in the patio and next to the pool we have created a long flower bed with mint, basil, oregano, thyme, rosemary, sage, Taygetus tea and many other aromatic plants.
Established in the centre of Xiropigado, Villa Artia is close to daily needs and pleasures. It is a 7-minute walk from the central, organized beach of Xiropigado, a beach with deep crystal waters and pebbles ending, at the edge of the wave, in coarse sand. The beach has been awarded the "Blue Flag" continuously since 2018. Cafes, taverns and fish taverns with fresh fish, restaurants, mini markets and groceries are just a stone's throw away.
Xiropigado is situated in coastal Arcadia, 145 km from Athens and 1½ hours drive from Athens Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos". In Arcadia, within 45 minutes you change scenery: from its lacy coastline with Lilliputian or larger unspoiled beaches and from the olive groves in the lowlands you find yourself in mountainous environments overgrown with chestnut, cherry or apple trees, slopes thickly planted with plane trees, cypresses, poplars or firs and villages that are among the most beautiful traditional villages of Greece. Arcadians are hospitable, warm people who love the tradition of their place, simplicity and small scale.
Arcadia is located at the center of the Peloponnese, a region that offers a natural landscape of immense diversity, a mild climate, rich history and mythology, iconic archaeological sites, top monuments of Greek culture, imposing castles, historic monasteries, impressive caves, top technical works, renowned local products, rich gastronomy, tradition and music. From Xiropigado, with a short excursion, you can visit e.g. the cosmopolitan Nafplio, the first capital of the modern Greek state, or the ancient Theater of Epidaurus, the most beautiful open theater in the world or the "multi-gold" Mycenae of Homer and the mythical Atreides. You can take a day trip to the Ancient Olympia, the place where the Olympic Games were born, or to the impressive castle-state of Mystras and, on the same trip, the Diros Cave with its white stalagmites and stalactites that can be crossed by boat.
