About this cottage rental
Welcome to our newly renovated lakefront cottage! Do as much or as little as you would like while you are enjoying the Adirondack Park.
Turn right out of our driveway and you can walk to Bear Mountain. Turn to the left, venture a little further and many other hiking or fishing adventures await. Explore the town at Tupper Lake or visit the Wild Center. Venture a little further (~ 1 hour) and you may visit Saranac Lake, the Adirondack Rail Trail, the High Peak region or Lake Placid. Then cool off in the lake.
Or stay all day at the cottage relaxing, reading or playing with the kayaks and canoes. Fish off our dock and swim in the lake. Sleep well.
Linens and towels are provided at the cottage. Everything you need on one level if you have trouble with stairs.
Enhance your comfort and fun by bringing your own beach towels, fishing gear, floating water toys, bug repellant and sun protection.
We are dog friendly. Dogs should be monitored at all times. Dogs are not allowed on the beds and/or on the second carpeted level. Guests are responsible for cleaning up for their pets and are responsible for any damage.
Entry - Easy and ample parking
Main Floor - King bedroom, Full Bathroom, Kitchen, Open Dining/Living Room, which opens to deck.
2nd Floor - Bunk room, 2nd Bedroom (Queen), 1/2 bath.
Lakeshore level - Common Room with convertible bed (Full) and small full bathroom
Dock Access - Boat launch is 2 miles away
We have a full guide to help acquaint you with the cottage, including local spots to check out. We’re not so sure it is “undiscovered” anymore, but this is the “Forever Wild” section of the Adirondack Park. Trails, lakes and streams tend to be quieter and less fished.
We would love to share a few highlights with you, especially in the hamlet of Wanakena:
Summer Concert Series: Cultural Arts Committee of CFEDC
The Cultural Arts Committee seeks to bring unique musical and theatrical events to the Clifton-Fine community, bridging together permanent and seasonal residents. The committee helps to build and sustain a stronger, more integrated community, by providing opportunities for people to come together to enjoy live music, dance, visual arts, and other artistic and cultural activities.
Otto’s Abode (http://www.ottosabode.org/)
Otto’s is a great spot to grab a snack, a drink, a map or a bag of ice.
If you have an EV, there is a free charging station.
A Little About Us
Erin Bowman Park and Rachel Bullene Graham are longtime friends from Rochester, NY. During the summers, Rachel’s family graciously invited Erin to her camp on Cranberry Lake and the rest is history. When the opportunity came up for Rachel, Erin and their husbands to purchase the camp next door, we embraced it. We hope our friends, family and guests love it as much as we do. Rachel and Travis live locally in the hamlet of Wanakena (very close to Cranberry Lake). Erin and Jim live in Rochester, NY when they are not in the Adirondacks. Between Jim’s love of fishing and birding and Rachel and Travis’ knowledge of the area, you are in good hands.

The house was very clean. The kitchen was large and had everything we needed. We fished off the dock and caught sunfish, smallmouth bass, and catfish. We did use the canoe provided, but did not have time to try out the kayaks. The communication with the owner was excellent. They provided a lot of information about the area before we got there. Check in was very easy. My Wife and I would love to stay here again.

We decided to get away for a long weekend with our 3 kids and decided on staying here because on location with access to the lake. The house was newly renovated and all appliances and grill were brand new. Great location with kayaks and canoe to launch off the dock. Owner was available with any questions or concerns via text. Great place
