Stay away from this hotel. everything went from the moment I checked in. They asked if I will like to be offered tea, coffee or water. I asked for tea but they came with 25$ bill for the tea. They charge 350$ deposit per stay which is outrageous. The Coffe machine does not work. I called them 4 times to pls bring me another Coffe machine but they keep promising that they will. The cleaner had to go bring me boiled water for my coffee. The worst thing that happened was that they locked me out of my room. They were trying to charge another 350$ daily deposit without my awareness. I had already paid for my room before checking in. Why lock someone out of their room? I was in my pjs when this happened. No respect for me as a lady. I guess that’s how the treat black people at that hotel. 90% of the receptionist were rude. Everything in the hotel is old. Definitely not at Regis standard. I repeat STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEl.

Had very high hopes for this hotel as we have been guests of St Regis across several locations. This was our first time to the Houston St Regis. Unfortunately we had several issues with the cleanliness of our room. From a dead roach on the floor to a prior occupants underwear left uncleaned in our hotel room (yes you read that correctly) to shampoo pumps not working to a light not functioning…. The deficits were unavoidable and saddening. In fairness, we did let the manager know about our issues and she was helpful in making sure the room was actually cleaned and offered us a partial credit - but my question remained how an alleged 4-5 star hotel could let such oversights occur and consider themselves a top hotel brand. Outside of this, our stay was average. The people were kind and the food was very good. It is unfortunate our visit was marred by the deficient state of our room. Hopefully these issues may be corrected - but I think this experience is worth sharing when considering where you stay (and spend your money) for your travels.

It was very nice. However, I did not like the fact that dogs could stay in all of the rooms. I thought there was a designated space in the hotel for dogs to stay in. My son is allergic to dogs.

The hotel is undergoing some remodeling which is good because its pretty dated. The stay was fine for a quick overnight stay but it wasn't comfortable enough to enjoy a full weekend.

Cordial overall staff. Very pleasing dining room with good breakfast with pleasantly eager waitstaff.
Rooms seemed clean enough, but very tired looking in a sea of '70s beige with dark brown vinyl seating. The one fabric lounge was stained and dingy. All is needing a serious refresh. We have stayed in other St. Regis locations, Florence being one of the pre-covid latest and as expected the facilities and experience certainly matched the price range. This one, not so much. I have used Houston location in past decades for business, so I can sadly say, not much has changed since that time.
