My non-smoking room smelled like smoke. Not a faint smell, but like someone smokes in it regularly. No one cleaned or brought any clean towels, etc the first day. Beds were not queen sized as advertised, probably double beds, and pretty worn down. Staff was friendly otherwise. If you only plan to sleep and shower there, it’s doable (barely).

I liked the property's location. I did not like the rooms smell (I think there might have been a smoker in that non smoking room) I did not like the furniture layout or the absence of clost.

For the price, I was expecting a nicer experience, in a creepy corner, people up all night outside, elevator had urine on the floor. I was to worried about all the commotion, I didn’t sleep. They had a sigh that said they were renovating. But still not very pleased with stay

The room was great... for being what it was a motel room. However my bed was a little loud (squeaky) everytime i moved and i have some pretty thick hair so i need a really good shower head with some pressure especially coming back in from the beach, please get better shower heads. Oh and the T.v. would turn off and turn back on like every 20 min. And the ceiling, had chipped paint or water damage all around what looked like an attic entry. I was thankful for the elevator. Being an active chemo patient it made it much easier to be on the 3rd floor.

Nice place with unique room layout in convenient location. Undergoing a renovation that will bring it to a 5 star rating when complete. It also has two unique penthouse suites with a very private sundeck to themselves.

We decided to return to this hotel for the Fourth of July weekend, and had also stayed two weekends prior. We originally had a third floor room with an ocean view, which made our stay extra nice. Prior to our return for the fourth, I called and requested the same room with a view. We were so happy that they set this room aside for us! We've stayed at just about every price range on hotels and resorts and this hotel fit our wants and needs on a budget. The location to downtown San Clemente and the pier is just minutes away by car, or I suggest using Uber due to the parking issues by the pier. The hotel has a parking garage with an elevator which was very convenient. The only thing missing that would be nice is an outside sitting area. That would have kept us from using our camping chairs. We will definitely return😁

Property was vey convenient for me to get to nd back from my destination without having to drive. Would probably pick one of the upper rooms next time to avoid some of the talking that went on around the vending machine - was not bad most nights just some occassions

Overall it was nice. The room was very spacious and clean. Room had a fridge, microwave and a safe. Friendly staff. The only complaints I have first was the water pressure was horrible, shower is very slow flowing. Next is that it is advertised that they have a continental breakfast in the morning but they do not. My mom and I went down in the morning to grab a couple items and the counter in the lobby was empty. I asked where the breakfast items were and they said they don't offer that. I did mention that it is advertised online/website in print and with pictures that they do and they had no response to that. I would stay again because I did like how big and clean the room was.
