The hotel is a good 7/10, set on a private, gated and guarded development amongst beautiful giant Laurel trees. We live in Mexico City and are frequent visitors to Ixtapan de la Sal for weekends. The hotel has a fantastic pool with a hot jacuzzi and a swim up bar at one end and a toboggan slide and brilliant kids area at the other end so if you have kids they are going to love it. We don't have kids and sit at the other end and the noise is definitely not intrusive. They could use new garden furniture as a number of the loungers are a bit rusty on the bottom of their feet with jagged edges which I am sure could give you a nasty cut if you were to stub your toe on them. They are good quality and comfortable, they just need replacing. Waiter service is attentive and food and drinks are reasonably priced. The restaurant also has a nice breakfast buffet selection of hot and cold foods and a fresh omelette/quesadilla section. Evening meals are nice and well priced also. Rooms are well appointed although the terrace could use a table and chairs even though there is a bench seat. We have also stayed in a room with a private plunge pool before which was a good idea but would be much better if the pool was heated. Lobby staff are excellent and went above and beyond by allowing us to check out, then stay by the pool until late afternoon and then letting us shower and change in the spa before our drive back. We like that :-)

Nice hotel with great service. We stayed for a night in a room with private pool and it was great experience. The only problem was that we were there on a weekday and we had to wait a little bit to get helped... Spa looks really nice although again their services are limited Mon-Wed. We will probably come back with the kids and stay during the weekend!

The hotel is wonderful. The grounds are breathtaking. There is a beautiful pool and jacuzzi. The restaurant issurprisingly reasonable. The room, while not luxurious, was clean and comfortable with a lovely view.
The receptionist, Marco, was actually much more of a concierge and made our stay memorable. Everyone was friendly, courteous, attentive and efficient.
The only drawback was that we had no car for 2 days and the hotel is a little isolated (about 2 miles to town). Taxis are very cheap, though.

This hotel surroundings are beautiful and hotel itself is well maintained and the greenery within is also magnificent. We stayed two nights and spent a full day celebrating in a wedding, so we did not have a chance of trying the Spa or the pool which are mostly for what other visitors come. Employees are not up to par to the quality of the hotel but still OK. Breakfast buffet in the expensive side although good. Feel this is the best alternative in Ixtapa.

When I read some reviews, I was hesitant to stay here, however, I am glad I didn't pay attention to those comments as this hotel has everything you may want for a comfrotable and relax weekend... This hotel has it all ... clean, well maintained, amazing pool, very complete spa and a really friendly personnel. Highly recommended.

the hotel is beautifull, the plunge pool in the room is fantastic, the only thing lacking is heating in the rooms, and the menu at the restaurant is limited, but the hotel is generally excellent.
