I expected basic and was just hoping for value for money to be in the location but just found the hotel so tired and rundown, its desperately in need of investment and upgrading .

Really enjoyed our stay. I came with very low expectations due to bad review on hotel.com. I was very impressed with my stay as the service was excellent and family room was huge compare to other hotels. The pool was really nice. We had it to ourselves as not many guest stayed there during October. Only downside to the hotel is that it’s far up in the hills of Positano. It’s a 15 minute walk down and you can take the local bus up for €1.30. So overall very good experience. I don’t recommend driving to the hotel as parking is expensive.

Pictures on website over 25 years old, false advertising. Very disappointing!
Ants all over the counter.

The property was ok, just super noisy room, (for the price $$$$$)you can hear everything from other rooms or even worst people above moving furniture and walk like is their last walk. Cant sleep at night and around 5 am housekeeping already starts clearing.

Do not stay here! The worst accommodation of our trip!

Loved the property, but be aware it is high in the hills so getting to and from the town was inconvenient. Be prepared to walk up many stairs if you plan to head into town frequent. There is also a bus route

Our stay was great! Staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast every morning was nice. The pool was clean and huge. The hotel is outdated and could use some renovations. Location of the hotel is near the top so maybe a 15 minute walk down to the beach and 10 minutes down to shopping and restaurants. Luggage porters are available for $10 per bag.

Although in Positano therefore a great and memorable vicinity and view but the rooms need a serious upgrade of facilities, staff are nice but couldn’t help with the room conditions.
Coffee for breakfast was one of the poorest ever that we experienced ( instant coffee ) not expected from a hotel hosting in popular Positano, Italy !
Very unpleasant and disappointing !

The hotel is quite run down, and furniture is old and uncomfortable. We also had ants in the room, but they were removed when pointed out to staff.
The room was very spacious and had a nice outdoor area. Breakfast was decent if you are good with basics plus a little extra.
The area has a beautiful view and it’s possible to walk to the city, but impossible to walk back up all the stairs in the heat which means you depend on taxis that were 30/40 EUR each time.
Overall, not a 4 star hotel in any way, and pictures don’t capture current stage. We were a few friends and had many trips booked limiting the stay inside the hotel and for that purpose it was somewhat okay. Staff in reception and cleaning were nice and helpful.

Terrible terrible staff, very limited food options during breakfast. Even if I would have given another chance when visiting, the attitude of the staff did not help.

The main beds were fine. However we had paid for 2 quadruple family rooms. In both rooms the second beds were just chairs that folded out flat. I went to the front desk and said that we needed to have another bed put in one of the rooms. We were told to just fold the bed out flat and that bedding was in the closet for us to make the bed up. I’m not against making my own bed but I paid for quadruple rooms so I expected them to be made up as such especially considering how the cost of these rooms was extremely high. The fold out beds were broken and uncomfortable.
The included breakfast was a bit lacklustre. Meat and non-meat items were often handled with the same serving utensils. One day we tried to get a snack from the bar 3 hours before the posted closing time but we were told it was closed.
The lifts do not service every floor so you may be expected to go up and down stairs to your room or other places in the hotel. To get to the pool you have to go down a significant number of stairs and it is unavoidable).
I’ve not stayed at other hotels in Positano so I can’t really compare, but it felt like the hotel was in major need of some upgrades and repairs. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

This hotel was exactly what we wanted! We had a sea view at an affordable rate in Positano. Right outside the hotel entrance is the bus stop €1,80 per person takes you right down into town in just a few minutes. It comes every 30 minutes. If you want to skip the bus, you can walk into town, but prepare yourself! There are more stairs than I cared to count, and you need to be prepared to endure the heat. It’s pretty easy to navigate. You can also simply walk the road if you want to avoid the stairs, but the that will significantly extend the length of walk. It took about 5-7 minutes of stairs to get down to main town, then another 10 minutes or less through town to get to the beach. This hotel had an amazing, wry deep pool. It starts at about 2.5 feet, then begins to quickly drop. The main section of the pool is Olympic pool sized, being about 50m long, and a depth between 2.5-3.3m. The space was quite quiet until the weekend, when it appeared a number of locals come in for a poolside lunch ant the restaurant and swim. We enjoyed the breakfast spread which was included in our stay. The rooms were average, but served our purpose perfectly. I would return to this hotel if the price was right!

Beautiful view, welcoming front desk, great breakfast with eggs, fresh fruit, breads, cold cuts, cured salmon. Close to bus but it’s a vertical city so lots of steps. Great air conditioning in room. Did NOT like 4 PM check in and 10 AM check out. Price was too high for much shortened stay. At the price point should have earlier check in AND later check out.

I will only add to all the previous reviews that this place is definitely not worth what it’s charging. It’s pretty tired and in need of a lot of attention. Most disappointing was the front desk staff. Totally disinterested and even contemptuous. Zero idea what service should be. Grumpy and aggressively unhelpful. I would never stay here again.

This property is very old and not kept up. We had an ant infestation and they didn’t do anything about it. The pool area is so run down and the breakfast is terrible. I found a swished ant in my croissant. The concierge was rude and didn’t want to help with the ant problem and said is natural. I guess cause they weren’t sleeping with them and have them crawl in their suit cases.

It was a beautiful setting but the room was not like the ones shown on the web site. It was a little dated and the couch in the room was dirty. The breakfast was excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful!
