Very nice hotel in a beautiful central location close to the ferry port and with a view of the lake. It is a ten minute walk from the train station. The rooms were comfortable with all the expected facilities. Breakfast had a wide range of continental choices as well as scrambled eggs and bacon. The coffee was excellent. There are a wide range of bars, restaurants and shops close by. If I were visiting Desenzano in the future I would have no hesitation in staying at Hotel Tripoli.

The hotel is ideally placed on the waterfront in the centre of the town. The bus stop for Sirmione and Verona is opposite the hotel as is the departure point for Lake Garda cruises. Our room was reasonably spacious and clean with a large comfortable bed. Unfortunately the room was at the back of the hotel overlooking the wall of the next building. Rooms at the front with a view of the lake would be much better.
Overall, would recommend if only for the very convenient location.

Lovely small hotel with beautiful lake views from the rooms at the front. We had the first floor triple room which has a balcony and absolutely loved it, good sized room with big bathroom and great views.
Staff very helpful, excellent breakfast and loads of dining options straight outside.

Everything was lovely..15-20min walk from train station. sound proofing from the day/nightlife
was excellent for siestas. Perfect location with access to ferry over the road to see the other towns on the lake. The only thing i would say the mini fridges do not cool drinks and showers were very cool, which in the heat was not a problem. I stayed in 2 different rooms.
Would recommend. Families were staying with children of all ageds

- The hotel provided us with a promotional deal to get a discount on the ferries.
We would happily stay here again if we were to return to Lake Garda in the future!

The staff are very polite and super helpful making your stay a real pleasure. Breakfast was comprehensive both cooked and continental with a bar service everyday until late so you can relax after a day exploring. The dining options around the hotel are plentiful as it sits in the heart of Desenzano.
The room was clean, good storage space and bathroom and with everything you would expect to make you comfortable. We had a fantastic view and balcony looking out to the harbour and lake and the square below which was wonderful.

The location was incredible. We had a room not facing the streets so it was quiet enough although we hear very well what is happening in other rooms. Overall, it was quite clean, except under the bed which needed vacuuming. We had a very nice stay here. Breakfast was also amazing and staff was friendly and helpful.

Negatives: the bed sheets had several stains including one which we think was blood. Staff were reluctant to do anything about this and only after two members of staff had been into our room to confirm the sheets were stained were they reluctantly changed. Also the Wi-Fi signal was very weak in our room and kept cutting out. Wasn’t really a problem for us but could be for others.

Hotel Tripoli is quaint and right in the middle of town. Our room had a wonderful view of the lake and marina, along with beautiful flowers and landscaping between our balcony and the street.
Our room accommodated three of us well. It was clean and our needs were covered.
This hotel does not offer on site parking. I found a public lot about five blocks away and was able to pay for our overnight parking with my credit card. If memory serves, it was 12 Euros.
Overall a very nice experience.

I’ll give it a 9 out of 10. Clean rooms, close to everything, check in was easy, great AC, bar service was good. The only draw back was breakfast staff. She seemed to avoid us. We crossed paths 3 times while serving my self, no greetings, no smile, must have been a bad day. Everyone had coffee, so waited for her to ask if we wanted any. Towards the end of my breakfast, I stood up an asked her if I needed to go to bar to order coffee or with her. She then asked what we wanted.
Not a big deal, but we all know we need coffee to wake up and start our day. Lol

Staff was great. I arrived early and wanted to ask if I could leave my backpack until check in. Instead, the person in charge checked me in almost 4 hours before the announced check in time. The hotel is conveniently located just across the ferry access. Room was good and bathroom was larger than expected. The only concern was internet access, not reliable and extremely slow. However, I would definitely stay again here.
