Our stay at the First Choice Inn was the worst overnight motel stay ever! It was anything but first choice. The room was disgustingly filthy. There was a half-eaten pizza roll on the badly-stained carpet in one room and our other room had old French fries by the night stand and someone’s disgusting toenail clippings. The curtain had lots of holes—looked moth-ridden. The bathroom was disgusting and dirty—urine on the floor not cleaned up from the last guest. We asked for new towels as one towel had obvious dirt on it. The new towels were almost as bad. There was no drain plug in the bathtub, and the sink had no lever to fill the sink. The faucet and shower heads were so corroded; totally disgusting. The hinges on the bathroom door were totally rusted like they came from a junk yard. The blanket had holes. The carpet was filthy and there was a terrible odor to the room. We saw dead bugs behind the bed. There was no deadbolt to lock the door. It had all been ripped out and holes remained. We didn’t dare eat their breakfast in the morning. Any future traveler, beware!! There were no other motels with vacancies available when we booked due to a college football game in a nearby city so we booked there sight unseen. Never again! I took photos to back up my assessment of this motel.

After checking in we found our room was very dirty and one bed was stripped with a pile of bedding on the desk. The bathroom was not cleaned nor were the towels replaced. There were no other rooms available in town, so we found clean sheets and towels and stayed. However, breakfast was not available the next morning either. Our worst stay ever!

Old place but a good budget freindly place to stay when you are passing through. The breakfast was better then expected.

All I can say is this place needs to be condemned. No secondary deadbolt or safety chain on the door. Two wires hanging down from the ceiling where the smoke detector should be. Black gunk in the bathtub tile and shower head I assume is mold. Outside door has no card reader it’s just open all the time. I found another place to stay it wasn’t safe.

room was very nice with a microwave and mini-frig. Bed was comfortable. stayed for one night on our trip out of town and again on our return trip home. The kid at checkin was less than enthusiastic on the first stay. Thje second stay was a gentleman who was very accomodating.

It was simple, clean, good for the night. Toilet seat was a little bit broken, but doable. Breakfast served early, which is a plus. Technically, it's 6:00 a.m., but they had stuff out 15 minutes before that. Most other properties don't serve breakfast until around 7:00. Overall, not a bad place to stay for the night. I'd stop here again.

The pet room has carpet, and stinks Like dog pee. I wouldn’t go barefoot. Weird location with an awful parking lot. The room was large, and the walls are soundproof.

2nd time staying. First time was awesome. 2nd time seem like they gave me a room that haven’t been cleaned or use in years. Room 105 had dust still on shower rails. I stay here every year when carnival in town because I travel with them. Wasn’t happy but still made it work because of my first time visit was awesome. Please do better

I liked how big and spacious our room was and how quiet and dark the room is at night. The king size bed was very comfortable and slept well. Staff was friendly and courteous. The breakfast was fresh and tasty.

It is a cheap and old motTheyou get what you pay for. the staff is not that friendly and the carpets are old and dirty. The area around it is not that pleasant, but the room was pretty clean

Comfy, roomy and clean for the most part. Smoke alarm not on the roof ( unhooked and missing) and water stained roof tiles from 2 nd floor above us from a past issue. Black mold on tile corners in the tub/ shower. Friendly staff

Started the stay with many tv channels. Went to supper, had 6 channels. Called the desk, response was "well, they must have stopped watching". In the morning had 3. Breakfast was horrible. No juice, no coffee, no cereal. Told manager, sarcastic response was "guess someone needs to do that".

I didn’t mind the place, the smell of our room was awful. By way the toilet bowl was shaking also. Was clean just the smell. I asked for non smoking room but I don’t know what was the smell came from. In the morning we opened the window we left early cause we couldn’t handle the smell. I always give positive review but not this one. They should update this place. By the way the breakfast schedule 6am room still close and when it opened until 7am its still not ready. My advice if you dont have a choice just open the window.

The hotel is comfy and quiet. It's in a convenient location with easy access to the highway. Train traffic can be a bit noisy, but not bad. The mattress was a bit stiff, but the room and furnishings are comfortable and we slept really well!

IMO, this has got to be the worst motel stay i have encountered.
When checking in, was told there was a computer issue from the night before and the room i reserved was not available.
So i was given a pet room which stunk, was old, had plastic on the outside of window, tub did not drain properly after shower and the outer sides of the box spri g was just disgusting with dried blood and who knows what else ( photo could not upload).
Breakfast started @ 6am yet nothing was available at 620, so went elsewhere

The rooms was okay, except for the dirty towel left on the back of the bathroom door in one room. In the other, the toilet struggled to work and the flip lock wasn’t there. It was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Property is under renovation but is in sad shape. In a very industrial area. Needs to be closed down and completely renovated or rebuilt. There are three better hotels within two blocks. I would have gone somewhere else but it was beyond the cancellation time and we were only staying for one night.
