NOTHING WENT WELL. ADVERTISES PETS WELCOME WITH DEPOSIT. PETS MEANS A DOG ONLY, NOT A CAT. DID NOT EVEN GET TO STAY AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED REFUND AS BOOKING.COM SAID THIS BUSINESS WILL NOT RESPOND TO THEIR CALLS OR THE EMAIL RE FEFUND THEY SENT. THE MANAGER GUY IS A CREEP TOO.

The location was convenient, but clearly the bugs felt the same way.
BUGS. Trouble doesn’t always come from the direction you expect. I always check hotel rooms for bedbugs upon arrival, and was happy to find none here. However, just before going to sleep I was startled by the sensation of something falling onto my neck. Yep, the bugs came from above. Racing in and out of the spaces between the wooden planking on the ceiling and up and down the wall behind the headboard. Which is, of course, to say nothing of the few which lost their grip and tumbled directly onto my (admittedly clean) sheets. I called the front desk and was invited to switch rooms. The front desk clerk examined the pictures/video I had taken and moved me to a room on the opposite side of the motel (from room 225 to 203). It was now 11:45 and, giving this second room a more wary scan and re-unpacking and re-showering (the creepy crawly feeling persisted) I settled into bed. Perhaps unsurprisingly, two bugs crawled out from between the ceiling slats. I called the desk, the phone rang for a long while, then disconnected. It was now midnight. It was too late to switch hotels, the location isn’t so nice as to hazard sleeping in my car, and so as I tucked my shirt into my sleep pants and my pants legs into socks, scanning the Orkin website for similar looking bugs and crossing my fingers that I wouldn’t wake up with itchy bites, I comforted myself that this room at least seemed to have FEWER bugs, which is a strange sort of thing to be grateful for.

The beds were comfortable and the room had a small TV but it worked. The temperature was a little hard to control but it did heat the room. It was on the first floor and were able to find parking close to the room.
This is a very old Hotel/Motel and it is showing its age. There was construction and remodeling going on inside the hotel and it was very noisy late into the night. Our room was clean but the entrances both to the lobby and to the parking lot were very dirty. They advertised breakfast included but it was only cold cereal and toast no hot foods were offered. they had a waffle machine but no batter. Based on the price and comparing to other places we have stayed at the same price or less I expected more.

Nothing went well at this hotel
Everything!! The smell of cigarette smoke, the dead bird, the kicked in door. We didn’t spend the night there.

Price, location. Just wanted a good place to crash and this was just that.
Carpets looked old and stained. Breakfast was minimal.

The bed was comfortable.
I had made the reservation for 2 beds many days in advance. When I checked in late in the afternoon the room wasn't ready. We had to wait for a half hour. In the middle of the night I heard water in the sink turned on and the toilet flushing. It woke me from a sound sleep with my heart racing. The room is either haunted or the walls are very thin!

There was no internet service in town for AT&T phones.
The hotel was very run down

Low price compared to much more expensive hotels on the same level in tourist towns. Breakfast was included and ok. Good for one night.
A bit old fashioned and out of town, but everything was ok.

Someone was there for our late night arrival. Large lot for oversized vehicles.
One can clearly tell a lot of cigarettes were smoked in this hotel at one time.

The outside of the motel is very run down, however, the room was clean and comfortable, for an older place. Easy access from our route, and a good value for a one night stay.

Room was clean.
Staff refused to offer us the continental breakfast that was included in the price, claiming that it wasn't worth their while to do so because we were the only guests in the motel.

It was neat and tidy. The staff was very polite.
Loved the rustic look of the ceiling. I just enjoyed my stay. I'm glad to have found this place. Because of a road closure.
At some point in the future the bath fixtures will need replaced. But that is due to the hard water of the area.
Which is normal. Just like at my home.
