We have stayed at this hotel many times in the last 10 years because of the closeness and convenience to BJH. It’s always clean and comfortable. I really miss the days when it wasn’t operated by Hilton, however, because there were no added charges for parking or breakfast. Coffee, juice, popcorn and fruit were available always in the lobby. They always before offered a discount for patients of the hospital, also. Still, I give them a good review for cleanliness, comfort and quietness.

This place is conveniently located near the Delmar Loop, where we had a concert. Rooms were clean, staff courteous. Parking is very reasonable for a large city, and the garage is easy to get to. My only gripe would be the overpowering air freshener or whatever it was. It smelled clean, but too much—through the lobby and entire hotel. I get migraines from strong fragrances, and I’ve noticed other hotels have started using strong air fresheners too.

Very comfortable beds. My only issues were there were a list of food crumbs on the sofa and ottoman. Also, breakfast was not included, as is the case with most hotels. At these rates, I would think they could include a continental breakfast.

Hotel is dated and needs updating. Bed was comfortable though and it was quiet. Housekeeping and cleanliness could improve.

The staff was very nice and accommodating, but the bathroom was fairly disgusting. The toilet had scratch marks all over it, the tub drain was rusted, and the towels were stained. Definitely not worth $230 a night.

My husband was transferred to Barnes Jewish Hospital. Double Tree at Forest Park is connected via a walkway to the hospital which is very convenient. You can also leave your car there instead of parking in the hospital's parking garage. If you call the hotel directly, they have a Barnes Jewish family rate plus $10 parking instead of the regular $15 at the hotel or $16 at the hospital garage. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Thanks for making a tough time so much easier for us.

The hotel was nice overall; however, our room was very warm and the air conditioning never cooled down. The room stayed around 76 degrees at all times. It was comfortable enough in the evening if we didn’t use any blanket coverings, but overall, it would have been more comfortable with working a/c. Otherwise, the location was great, and having an on site Applebees was very convenient.

The hotel was very convenient for my husband had surgery at BJH used the tunnel was great. The room was clean and cool when we arrive. Applebee on site so we didnt have to leave the area. They do need like darker window shades for the light comes in. The front desk employees were nice an very helpful.

Too highly priced and absolutely no view from the room. Charged for parking when already paying out the nose for 1 night. I wouldn’t recommend…only good aspect was the restaurant attached and close to the hospital

Front desk were not friendly and were busy but not helping customers waiting in the line. We had to wait for about 10 minutes before being served.

Arrived at 3:50 pm and our room wasn’t ready. After a long day of travel we were disappointed we had to wait to get to our room.

Convenience for appoints using BJC parking garage and crosswalk to appointments.
Disliked the price for "buffet breakfast" when continental breakfast should be included in price of room.

Surprisingly present stay. The reviews did the hotel justice. I wished I would have known a restaurant was practically attached to the hotel. I was concern with the smell when I first pulled up to the unloading area. Figured out theirs a dispensary across the street from the hotel. The pot smell disappeared just as soon as quickly. The hotel was clean and the desk clerks were amazing. They were busy & yet they managed to stay calm and friendly. We will be using this hotel for all St. Louis visits.

Stayed at the Doubletree because my spouse was an inpatient at Barnes Jewish - it was definitely the right choice. The hotel is attached to the hospital complex by a skybridge, so you can walk to and from the hospital any time day or night and in any weather without going outside and you don't have to deal with hospital parking. That alone makes it the perfect choice, but it's actually a nice hotel as well. It's a bit older, but the rooms have been nicely refurbished and were spotless. they have a minifridge and a microwave, which is very convenient - there's also a guest laundromat which is super handy. More importantly, the staff, who must deal with lots of stressed customers with hospitalized loved ones, are incredibly nice and very caring. And the hotel is easy walking distance to many excellent restaurants in a very charming St. Louis neighborhood (think it's called Central West End).

Check in clerk was amazing. Room was clean but dated. Breakfast was bad. No silverware eggs coffee biscuits. Probably won’t stay there again. Really not worth price paid.

We have stayed here before and I always seem to get an attitude from the staff when I book through Expedia. For example when i called the night before we arrived I wanted to find out if I could get early check in since and appointment at Barnes had been changed. First thing they said was I can't help you because you booked through Expedia. I said I jut had a question about check in and got the same response, because they were not listening. Finally after several attempts she heard me and said it's not guaranteed. I have have no problem booking through the hotel but I saved just over $50.00 going through Expedia, and that's even with the hotel giving me a discount for being a patient at Barnes.
