Great in every way

Great stay. The only thing we weren’t a huge fan of is the pool being advertised as a heated pool and it was said to be kept warm but the water was lukewarm . The window in the pool area was left open by staff both times we attempted to swim so the room for the pool was very cold as snow would blow in when the wind blew and the temperatures were freezing outside leaving the room for the pool very cold. Not comfortable for the kids or adults to enjoy the pool comfortably. This was the primary attraction my kids were looking forward to, but the water was far cooler than a normal heated pool and the room for the pool being kept very cold from the outside weather being let it, only allowing the kids 5-10 minutes of the pool time before being left cold and shivering .

Hallways needed to be vacuumed. Other guests banging on walls and doors yelling at all hours. Front desk notified but the behavior continued. I realize it is the off-season for the hotel, but still treat the guests properly.

The hotel is in a nice location. Our room was hard to locate however and did not get assistance from the front desk. The shower was either scratching hot or Luke warm, finding a middle ground was a challenge.

The service was so incredible! They made me feel like a local or even a friend! We traveled during the off season and enjoyed the quiet time… We took advantage of the warm pool, the super fast brand new upgraded WiFi, amenities like fire pits with a Mountain View at sunset, and the yummy deviled egg (and waffle) breakfast. I extended our stay an extra night, because we were enjoying the place and staff so much.

The room rate is reflective of the property.
Clean and front desk staff nice. Room furniture very old and sketchy. Bed was fine.
Rooms need some maintenance and upgrade to chairs, bedside table, lamps

The first room we had did not have TV service. We were moved to another room, which was right across the hall from the other room (easily moved our belongings). The new room was equally as clean and nice as the and the tv worked. The young man helping at the front desk was very polite.

It was just ok. The staff was friendly. It felt more motel vibes as far as the rooms and set up. Just not really my favorite.

The room was adequate . The black paint on the walls gave it a dark feeling in the room. The stool in the bathroom was very low making it uncomfortable to sit on. The personal in the check in and out area. Where very nice. Both were pleasant to deal with.

The room wasn’t super clean. We had four people but only three large towels and two wash rags were provided. The breakfast was very odd and rather disappointing. .

I stayed for 2 nights with my small dog. I love that they are pet friendly and it was only $25 for the whole stay (not per night) for my dog. The room was clean and you can tell that they tried to update the rooms at some point, but they could use a bit more work. Regardless, the room was clean and that is what's most important to me. The bed was not the worst bed I've slept on, but it also wasn't particularly great. I liked having a small balcony as well. I did not partake in the breakfast, so no feedback on that. The staff was very friendly which was nice. My biggest issue was that it is too loud. You can hear EVERTHING that happens in the hallways and mine was very busy. Every word spoken, every footstep, etc.

No matter which room you stay, you have to carry your luggages for 2 stage of stairs. The shower is so narrow even for a 154lb man. The heater/air conditioner is so loud and non stop whole night. The worst place i ever stayed and the price $168 is not cheap, but a little cheaper in this area.

We were impressed by the cleanliness of the entire property. Very nice breakfast -- many more choices than most places.

I made reservations with RM Hotels and Conference Center. I do not have anything telling me the name was changed to Expedition Hotels. Sadly, I have been coming to Estes for years and still haven't found a place I love to stay. In addition, I asked for a ground floor because I have a handicap person with me and I was given a room that was 5 steps up. JORDAN to the rescue! Give that kid a raise. He was so helpful and willing to find us another room that truly had a ground floor access. The complimentary trail mix was a nice touch particularly in light of the name change. The indoor access was not impressive at all. It felt outdated and unkept. However, our room itself was clean. The bathroom NEEDED a towel rack and a ceiling tile was not in place. The curtain was jerry rigged and would not close, so I had to pin it. You can't help the construction lights and noise, but you could have provided a clear explanation of the name change. Thanks to other customers who told us this was indeed the RM Hotel and Conf center AKA Expedition Hotels. The price was fair for the accommodations, but I really thought I was getting a great deal based upon the advertising. I do not plan to return.

We had a standard room period the room was clean when we arrived. The front desk was willing to accommodate any of our needs. The hotel is currently upgrading their facilities, which will be very positive for them. The very best thing was the harem of elk out the back door. AMAZING.

It looks like a newly refurbished hotel on old bones of a hotel. Each level of the hotel has 3 large sets of stairs to a lower part of the floor. Fairly inconvenient in lugging bags and kids.
The rooms were nice and comfortable. AC good, hotwater was good.
We also had a suite including a kitchen and family room area attached to a room with a King bed and another room with 2 queens. Beds were comfortable. The kitchen was nice, but "clean" dishes were greasy and still dirty.
I didn't have a chance to try breakfast.
Overall, average.

For just a 1 day stay for a bed to sleep it was suffice. The staff was pleasant and friendly. It maybe due to being under new management but i didnt like that carpets in hallways were dirty. The lighting in rooms was dark and shower was tiny my husband is tall and ceiling was very low. Swimming pool was not availble. Last, the breakfast was lame, it was grab and go breakfast, the banana my husband got was rotten. It was okay if you need to stay for a bed but maybe check on breakfast and pool availability before getting hotel.

We booked a very last-minute stay due to inclement weather, and we had a fine time. The one issue was that this hotel has a $50 per night pet fee that was not advertised on hotels.com when we went to purchase. It would have been nice for that to be more transparent. $50 is also quite steep!

Hard to find in the dark due to signage

Was hoping for the pool to be open as that was one of the amenities we were looking forward too the most. But still overall a nice place to stay.

I will never stay here again. I had to go to the front desk 3 times for my room key because it didn't work. I reserved a room here mainly for the pool and hot tub. When we arrived to check in there we a sign at the desk that the pool and hot tub were closed until further notice. They offered us a pass to the community center pool and told us they closed at 8pm. We got to community pool at 6pm, only to find out they closed at 5pm. The hotel did want to compensate at all. Then in the morning we went to the front to get breakfast. They had cereal with no milk. I was very disappointed and dissatisfied with this stay.

Food crumbs from previous folks everywhere. Bathroom sink faucet, shower faucet, and towel hooks all fell off with pretty much any contact at all. Stains (I think food) on the chair. TV remote didn’t work. Basically the accommodations I would expect from a $60/night motel. But I paid a lot more than that.

If i know the hotel conditions, never ever stay there. Wanted to cancel the reservation so bad when i walked into the propery to check-in but was too late. Dead bugs in pillows, towers and bedding. Annoying flies flew around the room whole time, next door sounds is anorher level, coffee machine was broken, all other stuff like refrigerator are old to function properly. No hot water at bathroom sink, no eletric power to use at outlet in bathroom. At last I saw the poops in side of hotel and it was there whole my staying. Just ruined whole my excitments of the trip. Wishes hotels.com not having the hotel in the list.
