The hotel is very nice and the room was lovely.
My only complaint was a noisy fridge in the room and bizzarre as.you may think, there was a ghostly pressence in my room which freaked me out slighy. If you like parranormal experiences, try room 202

A one night stay on a business trip. Comfortable room, good food, and upgrading from the continental to a full english breakfast was good value.

I had good preconceptions about what I might find for a one night stay. The preconceptions proved true ~ everything was as I had wished. Unconditionally recommended !

It was unfortunate that we visited on one of the hottest days of the year as our room didn't have air conditioning and the window was limited to opening only a few inches at the bottom, and would not open at the top, so no round draught could be created. The fan provided did little to help and we had an uncomfortably hot night.
Other than that, the hotel was good and the staff very helpful. The continental breakfast buffet was also good, although the gluten-free options were limited (though the gluten-free bread was very good).

Nice view though in the attic so avoid third floor as bumped head a few times! very hot in summer though found fan in wardrobe. Overall good service and facilities. Good food too.

Lovely hotel, food was good . I think service in te restaurant needs to be better. A bit of training would make the restaurant and the overall experience an exceptional one.
The shower was a bit of a challenge, kept getting hot and cold which was very annoying

Excellent location, within a short stroll of the river, ruins, bars, shops and eateries. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We managed to get a free hotel parking space very easily.
The only downsides were, our room was next to the lift, so it was noisy as people returned to the hotel in the early hours, plus the pillows were incredibly soft and offered no support at all.
That said, we would definitely stay there again!

Nice hotel & couldn’t fault our priory room, that was lovely. Limited parking opposite, we had to park in a public car park on our second day.
We thought there would be more of a choice on the dinner menu so we chose to eat elsewhere. Found breakfast to be on the expensive side & feel that tea/coffee should be included & not charged as a separate entity.
We waited a long time to be served at the bar on our first afternoon & that particular staff member came across a bit too obnoxious, unfortunately. That being said, overall we had a pleasant stay.

We had a really wonderful stay, the staff here are friendly and helpful, the beds soooo comfy and the bathroom shower gel, body cream just lovely. The hotel is located right where you want to be, my daughter’s room had a great view of the priory and we could walk along the river to the harbour. Perfect!

Chateaubriand was ok we asked for medium well but it was quite rare and we do not think it’s worth the £65 .

This is a great place to stay, the room was amazing. Staff were brilliant. I two minor criticisms, and they didn't impact my stay but they could have.
1. Music from restaurant filtered up in the room, and didn't switch off until 11:45. When I first arrived in the room I thought it was a speaker in the room playing 'relax and welcome' music, but it wasn't it became more dancey as the night went on.
2. The road is a bit noisy - again this isn't the hotel's fault. The hotel is in an excellent location. I guess you get used to this!!

Not sure whether the Kings Arms is a Hotel with Bar and Restaurant or a Bar/Restaurant wih rooms. Whichever - it's a very pleasant place to stay in and eat at while in Christchurch.
Situated in the nicest part of the town, opposite the ruins of the abbey and by a nice river walk down to the quay. My room was the largest available and was very well appointed. Lots of space, fridge, safe, full tea/coffee making facilities, nice bathroom, etc. Breakfasts were excellent, almost anything you could want was either laid out on the bar or available from the menu. I had one dinner there and it was delicious.
Staff all friendly and helpful.
Minor niggles: Freeview reception would cut out for minutes at a time, muzak from the bar seeped into my room (but was turned down in the evening when requested), not really a dedicated reception - more an extesion of the bar, church bells ringing the hours and quarter hours (I found it comforting but others might not!!!), overhead shower took many minutes to get hot (although bath and sink would come through hot immediately????). Minor issues.
Would defintely stay there again or eat there if in town.

Came for 2 nights to celebrate birthday and had lovely stay. Stayed in room 101 which was very spacious with a comfortable large bed. Only down side was noise from traffic outside and also they emptied bottle bins at around 6am which was very loud. However, this didn’t stop us enjoying stay.
All staff were very helpful and friendly (especially Charlotte in the restaurant who was lovely) Attention to detail was exceptional which included tasty tea and coffee, complimentary water in fridge and high class bedding.

Stayed in room 102 directly above reception and 3 ceiling mounted music speakers . At 10.30 i had to go down and ask the manager to turn down the music volume so that we could sleep. There were no customers in the area .He was very apologetic and turned it down.
