Mother Earth Motor Lodge is so retro and fun! The staff & service were the best. Everyone we met and had interactions with were smiling, friendly and knowledgeable. They had all of my info correct and check in and out were a breeze. No hidden surprises and the rate was reasonable. Mom and I had a suite, with televisions in both rooms which made it nice for her to watch TV in one side and me in another if we wanted. The rooms were adorable with all the retro colors and crazy bedspreads! Everything was very clean and even the pillows were the kind I like! The bed was firm, and I was a bit achy since I am an old fart now, but still comfortable. It was great to have a Keurig with the pods in the room, a microwave to heat or cook and a refrigerator for leftovers and food. The complimentary breakfast room was well stocked with all the things Mom liked for breakfast, including fresh fruits and the great waffle iron to make your own waffles! The pool area was wonderful and well kept with palm trees and tropical plants that don't usually grow in that area I found out. The fountains ran full time into the pool and made ambient noise to hide other room noises, hopefully enough to hide my little dog Obi barking at the window in the front of my room when people walked past. Obi was well received by all the staff, including treats at the front reception when we checked in. He was allowed all over the property, and it made me feel very welcome since he is so much a part of me.

We take our granddaughter to Kinston and stay at Mother Earth lodge annually. This year was a little different. They wanted to charge a fee for putt putt and shuffleboard. Thank goodness the staff used common sense and let us play for free. The amenities are the reason our grandkids want to stay there. Overall, our experience was very good.

What a hidden gem! We loved it and cannot wait for a reason to go back and stay again. First and foremost: the motel was very clean. The room, the lobby, the property in general were all nice and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful - such a great experience. This motor lodge itself has so much character! A real blast from the past. We love mid-century and this place was awesome. I only hope the new owners are able to keep it clean and well-kept with the same friendly service as we had this trip. I am sure that as more people get to know about the Mother Earth Motor Lodge it will get to be a very popular place indeed.

Staff super friendly & this was the cleanest place I have stayed at in regards to hotels or motels hands down. Also it is unique and kid friendly with a pool, put put mini course, and shuffle board. Affordable & overall a nice little quiet place to stay when you’re away from home.

This was the absolute cutest and most comfortable suite I have stayed in in a while!! Staff was so nice, view to the pool from the room was great and the amenities were on point! Did not disappoint and I am happy for that! Pet friendly as well ❤️

Mother Earth Motor Lodge is a gem. The property is perfectly renovated. It is like the 1950s. Rooms are great. Pool is great. The staff is outstanding. My wife and I strongly recommend the Lodge.
