We had a triple room and it was pretty spacious. As others have said, this is not a luxury hotel, but it was comfortable with a decent breakfast buffet. Also in a cute little town with several food options.

This was a very nice hotel for our first night in Iceland. It’s not far from KEF Airport, and was a good place 30-minutes away from the Blue Lagoon. The connected restaurant was excellent for our dinner after our soak in the Blue Lagoon.

The hotel was in a great location, but it was the worst breakfast I have ever had in a hotel. The same thing was served every day and it was not edible.
Our key card did not work every single evening when we returned to the hotel and had to get it reprogrammed. No towels upon our arrival. The Hotel staff were very nice and accommodating, however.

We did not understand how far out of town--how far fraom anything--the hotel is. We booked a day tour and the website said we would be picked up at the hotel. But it turns out that the tour company no longer does that pickup. So we wasted our last day in Iceland seeing nothing. The hotel itself was clean and pleasant but if you do not have a car you can only eat in the hotel's restaurant.

Good hôtel for families. Have a little fish pond, chicken coop, restaurant on site. Viking style ok, more « touristic » than expected. « Village » mean 3 building from the hotel. Our room was with bunk bed. Hot water was coming from thermal source and smelling sulfur, bad experience for showering.

We enjoyed the Viking theme and the grounds although they are small. Was told restaurants are walkable about 5-10 minutes but ended up eating onsite. The lobster soup was good but expensive. Hot tub was nice. Breakfast buffet was good- waffles, meat, cheese, oatmeal etc. staff were helpful and accommodating.

People were banging the door because they can’t figure out how to lock the door. The space is really small. Breakfast is great and staff are friendly.

I had a fantastic stay here, the staff were friendly and helpful and the morning breakfast was good with lots of options. The restaurant offers lots of options and the fly bus drops you off right outside, same with tour pick ups with Reykjavík Excursions, I would stay here again!

Super cute! The free breakfast was appreciated but limited. Hot tub and sauna was great!

There was no parking in front of the registration area, Limited parking further away and it was pouring down rain. The first room they gave us the bathroom had mold all over it so they moved us to a different room. This room was better, but the bathroom still was not clean. Very limited outlets! The breakfast was typical for most places in Iceland, but the breakfast area was very small for the number of guests that were to use it. Viking decor was interesting and that’s why we booked this hotel based on the pictures but found it in serious need of updating and a good cleaning!

It's a unique property, with Viking kitsch decor. Our room, described as "small", was tiny and had the smallest shower stall I've ever seen. Outdoor geothermal pool was nice, as was the sauna. Breakfast was good and the staff was helpful. There were only a handful of parking spots adjacent to the lobby; overflow had to go to the restaurant lot around the corner.
