I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay. The room amenities were in poor condition: the bed, towel warmer, mirror lighting, and water dispenser were all not working. Given that we travel frequently for both lectures and business, this was particularly disappointing. Due to these issues and the high cost, we will not be choosing YOTEL for our future stays.

Having stayed here some years back, we decided to stay again as it worked for where we needed to be in Manhattan.
Since our previous stay the hotel has gone downhill. It’s tatty and not maintained well, the light in the bathroom was broken, no lights other than the led tv surround light or reading lights. Room was not cleaned daily, you can hear every time a nearby door is closed from the room.
On checking out the luggage machine storage was broken so we were forced to pay to store luggage at $3 dollars an item, we don’t carry cash so forced to use ATM with a further charge of $5. Poor form considering the machine is broken and told to use at own risk.
Staff mostly seemed ok but a couple seemed rude.
I think the fact that they charge a resort fee with really no benefits and such poor service/quality is unjustified.
I wouldn’t stay again, have stayed in far better manhattan hotels.

Nice location, nice display of amenities, but can be better. Cleanliness not so great stains on curtains, broke faucet knobs, stains on chairs. No ice available on the floor. But overall friendly staff, and fair service.

If you are on a business trip and need to get some rest, this is not the place to stay. The music was bumping until 4am and the smell of cigarette smoke was coming into the room (although the space is non-smoking). The hotel room doors to the balcony are completely sealed shut, so there is not access to the balcony from the room and no view of the NYC skyline as the windows have a heavy frosted application blocking the view. There is access to the balcony via the attached restaurant - which is not affiliated with the hotel. The stuff are wonderful, very friendly and willing to help.

Serviced, room and personal were excellent. Only thing is that my room smell like there was someone smoking before. That cigarette smell stood on room for the whole stayed.

The room is OK, It has like a space/robot vibe. But the lobby Totally ruins it, First because there are some guys with the Yotel Hotel Name and logo on their T-shirts. They look like they’re selling something… And apparently they are: The service to help you using the robot to store Your luggage. Well, it happened to me that I arrived, Didn’t see the reception which is hidden, And I was in a hurry and needed to store my luggage because it was early to check in… One of these guys told me I need to pay in cash to store my luggage, Since they are wearing a T-shirt with the Hotel logo, I thought this was the only option I had to store my luggage. I even confirmed with them if there was any other option. After 10 minutes Figuring out what to do Because I wss already late for work, I Decided to go to the reception and asked them if what these guys were saying is true, And they told me the robot is for free, I would only have to pay cash if I need these guys’ help. So I ended up storing my luggage by myself. But my first impression and experience Of this place Was terrible. I know it’s cheap Compared to other hotels in New York, But still paying $300 per night, I expected at least a decent customer service and cleaner Decent lobby. Yes, I said cleaner because the lobby is open or public, so is not that nice. Nevertheless, I arrived at night, took my luggage from the robot storage, It was free, Checked in, And the room was okay. Pretty small, but Enough for what I needed.

Ok overall. But they should be more transparent about their daily hotel fee, which is akin to resort fees paid at Las Vegas hotels. YOTEL’s fee is basically just internet service. My 2 nights cost an extra $97 I didn’t expect to spend.

Got in pretty late first night around 2am. Sheets were dirty, requested new sheets, housekeeping were kind enough to bring new sheets. But these also were dirty and had stains. The remainder of my stay was better though.

Overall had an amazing stay. My only complaints would be the heating towel rack did not work, Ice machines did not work and we had no LED lights, which is one of the reasons that drew me to the room.
