We stayed in two rooms as the first one was at the end of the corridor and you got disturbed by people using the stairs which were right on the other side of the wall. It was obvious the rooms were in older buildings which meant you could hear the other guests in corridor. There was no kettle or tea/coffee things in the room something I would expect 4 star accomodation to have. Reception did lend us a kettle once we mentioned this. The restaurant serves excellent food at a 4 star accomodation price. HOWEVER there were sooo many flies. I have never seen so many or been so disturbed by them. At both dinner and breakfast within the first 24 hours I had them land in my food. we even found a small fly in the water which the waitress changed for us. Disgusting! I asked reception what they did to limit them as I know it's situated in the countryside. Was informed as they had cows and they couldn't really do anything. They didn't want to keep the doors and windows closed all the time. Poor service and not true. There weren't any fly traps seen anywhere.

Beautiful nature around the hotel and the hotel in general. Very nice for relaxing and spending time with the family, with different nice activities available. But many things seem better in pictures than in reality. Room is very basic, not to the expectations of a 4 star hotel. Breakfast is really limited and not so good, and the restaurant too expensive for other meals.

What I like about this hotel is in a very quite and pleasant environment. what I don’t like is room needs complete update, bed and pillows are soft, especially bathroom, mold and rusty, no shelving, no body lotion and hair conditioner, this is 2 star hotel quality.

This is not a god choice! It is expensive, dirty and not worth the monay...maybe 50€/night is maximum. Room was dirty, breafast not good, beds...no comment...choose other hotels!

Perfect for a calm stay, great opportunities for walks/morning runs around the lake, in the woods etc. Need a car, because not close to the city of Ringsted, but lots of free parking areas, even right next to your room. The rooms are not fancy at all, but they work all right, including the wifi, food in the restaurant is good, and people are generally welcoming and service minded.

A middle of nowhere feel, yet very close to Ringsted. Spacious surroundings, nice rooms, good restaurant. I'd go back.

Me and my wife stayed here for one night on our way from Germany to Norway. The hotel is located in beautiful surroundings, not more than 10-15 min. from the main highway. It is however quite an old hotel, and that is visible. 4 stars is maybe a bit much for this hotel, but if you get a good discount like we did (on expedia), then it is definitely well worth the visit. Comfortable beds though.
