This hotel and the women who worked at the front desk were amazing! The room was absolutely enormous and so cozy and clean. I spent the morning doing a beach cleanup in absolutely horrid weather… Strong wind, rain, and freezing cold. When I got to the hotel, I took a hot bath and the tub was so deep and it was just perfect! I was able to unwind to the fullest before heading back out for the evening. It is also pet friendly and they offered me a dog bed at check in! I didn’t need one but it was a nice perk.
I do suggest that if you’re sensitive to sounds, bring ear plugs. The sea lions will sing you a song in the morning. That being said, they do make a point of letting you know that sound travels easily and to be considerate of neighbours / quiet time. Although the room next to me had a family and two dogs, and I didn’t hear them much at all!
The hotel is within walking distance from quite a few local businesses and has nice views from the balcony.
I will absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Ukee.

Comfortable beds in a spacious suite with balcony. Great views over inlet, marina and mountains. Helpful front desk staff.
Walls a bit thin, so noisy neighbours can be a problem. However, front desk helped by enforcing the noise policy so all quiet when needing to sleep.
Wouls love to stay again.

We were very happy with our stay. The reception staff were outstanding. Shan was amazing.
As there wasn’t any eating options on-site, the staff pointed out places to eat and we even got an upgraded suite to a Loft.
It was lower season, and we didn’t need it, but what a nice touch by the management.
I would highly recommend staying here. Outstanding. Way better to stay in Ucluelet than Tofino.

I took the “executive suite “ as it was advertised as good for families with children. Most certainly NOT!!!!! The stair case is only partially enclosed… when you get to the top there is a half wall with a 10 foit drop onto a staircase. In addition there is NO soundproofing between the rooms. The people next door and us had small children/baby… we did not sleep at all as we could hear everything! The baby was not overly loud… neither were we but you might as well have been sharing the same room! Two night of this and I am exhausted! I brought this up to management and as if this time… no compensation offered! Ver nice and respectful receptionist…beautiful view of the Marina.

The staff were fantastic and super accommodating. We had a large suite with view of harbour which we enjoyed, especially the wildlife such as birds, harbour seals & deer we saw during our short stay.

We booked a second night after arriving for the first night and was told that the rate had almost doubled, from Thurs to Friday night. This seemed excessive.
No room cleaning for the second and expensive day.
Location is central and in the harbour which is quiet and quaint.
The hotel layout is spread out to 3 buildings connected by wooden boardwalks and pathways which could be difficult for persons with mobility difficulties.
Coffee and kettle provided. The room was big and comfortable.
There is a communal kitchen for guests to prepare their own meals while staying.
Overall a good stay but a bit bare bones for the price.

Not impressed for the money per night. No cleaning service, mold around sink, ice and vending machines broken. Overall a let down.

Excellent location and clean rooms. Staff was very accommodating with injury that forced early departure. Definitely plan to stay here at next opportunity.

My sister-in-law was visiting us from SanFrancisco and we wanted to take her to Ucluelet for a westcoast experience. We made reservations at the Canadian Princess Lodge for 2 nights. Upon entering our room we noticed a very strong cleaner or chemical scent so we opened the windows and cracked open the door. The smell got stronger and we all developed headaches. We could even taste it. It was awful! Finally I went to the office and they found us another room. In the morning we still had headaches from the previous day, but we decided to try to make the best of it and went out for a drive. We didn’t get better so we decided to just go home a day early. We were not credited anything for our inconveniences. This is the worse time I have ever had at a hotel or motel.

There are limited options for hotels in Uklulet in the summer. This seemed like one of the best and the price was very high $600 per night. The hotel was 2 star quality at best. Rooms were tired and in need of a deep clean. The toilet seat didnt fit the toilet. Caulking in bathroom was dirty and peeling. Bathroom door cracked. Whole hotel felt worn and dingy. It was certainly not anywhere near worthy of $600 a night.
