The place seems dark. Needs updating. Too expensive for what it was.

Loved the room, spacious and the little room with the rocking chair and the gas fireplace. The decor and lighting was very relaxing. The televisions need to be upgraded, especially seeing how they are so inexpensive now.

What made this stay so fantastic was definitely the staff. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The resort was charming and definitely on theme. The breakfast that was included was excellent. There is a hot menu item featured daily and bagels, toast, whole fruit, yogurt, coffee and tea. The hot menu item was prepared by a chef. Best scrambled eggs and hash browns I’ve had in a while. The breakfast sandwiches were handmade and not frozen with thick cut bacon. Our room was on the third floor with no elevator access which I did not enjoy. My 10 year old daughter loved the pool! We were in the area for a show, but there was not much to do in the area.

The staff there is amazing! This is our second time staying here the only thing I didn't like was that this time were stayed at the lodge and it is not on the same property at all the amenities.

Make sure when you book at the Common Man Inn, that you specify you would like to be at the Inn and not the Lodge. Apparently these are synonymous and you certainly don’t get what you pay for if you end up at the lodge. Second, our key card stopped working to get in our room and they made us drive back to the Inn to get another one because they don’t actually staff the Lodge appropriately. Overall a poor experience with half of our party ending up at the Inn and the other half at the lodge. Not worth the money. They should specify what you are actually receiving for what they are charging each night.

It was nice. Front desk employees are excellent, fantastic. Hotel is very clean but for who has high allergy like me, is not appropriate. Carpet smell. Curtains as well.
Location is nice. Breakfast Sunday was nice, Monday terrible. Size of room excellent.

This is a cute and cozy inn to stay at in the white mountains. Good food at the restaurant. I recommend.

Overall, I really like this place. It has a semi cartoony feel of a rustic inn and had loads of details (including an adorable cat who lives in the lobby!) that I found really charming.
The room I booked was comfortable and had that cozy cottage vibe, but the functionality of the room was a little lacking.
Firstly, I couldn't get my shower to change to faucet/bath mode. I also noticed the wallpaper was peeling behind the toilet. Add in a TV that was finicky about connecting to the cable and a teensy mini fridge (one of those small square deals) without a microwave in the room and I was left sort of underwhelmed.
The amenities in the spa were pleasant with a few things to note:--The pool is somewhat small and needed to be cleaned better, as there were strands of hair floating about.--The hot tub looks impressive in photos but is not really user-friendly. Firstly, the waterfalls create a kind of foam that makes the steps in hard to see plus the handrail was loose and jerked sideways when I leaned on it. Please be very careful getting in! Secondly, the loudness of the waterfall and the spray it creates were more lightly irritating than relaxing. --The sauna was terrific! Got nice and hot.
Ultimately you're paying for that inn vibe but the actual bones of hotel need work. They hide these shortcomings with charm. If you're looking for better quality/more amenities you can definitely find a hotel at a comparable price. But go here at least once for the ambiance!

Hotel staff was great! Very kind and helpful. The problem at the lodge is with the mattresses on the beds. They're clearly very old. They are similar to a foldout sofa bed quality. Very creaky and I was able to feel the lumps from the springs when I was laying on it. Also the hot water took a very long time to warm up, probably about ten minutes and then it was too hot and I couldn't get it to cool down. The staff was so awesome here that I hate to rate the place low but really the beds were just terrible. I wouldn't stay here again despite the excellent treatment we received from the employees. Comfort is most important to me. Maybe I'll try their main inn down the street next time, not sure. I'm afraid those beds will be awful too.

Cute rustic cabin vibe. Bedding could use and refresh. Restaurant was super busy, we had to go into town to find food.
