The concept of the hotel is great. The room was small-ish, but clean with a balcony with a tub. We arrived in the night and were awaken by drilling and banging. They were doing construction in the room directly across from our room and on the balcony of that room as well. The noise was so loud and disruptive from a little before 8 AM to after 6 PM. It’s really unfortunate that the hotel knew they were going to be doing construction and decided to put guests directly across from where they were doing the construction. This ruined our stay. The power went out but they had a backup generator. As guests situated directly across from the room in which they were doing construction, we were not notified of any construction, we weren’t offered a different room. I had to complain several times before we were offered. They then offered to put us in a smaller room that was directly at the front of the establishment. We had plans and were in a time crunch and had to leave, our transportation outside, and were unable to see a room when offered. We ended up staying in the same room until the end of our stay. The last full day the chef, who made brunch from 8 to 1 PM, was not there. We received an email notification about this a few minutes before the brunch was supposed to start. The staff was friendly, not the owner so much. It would have been a lovely stay w/o these issues.

We stayed here at the beginning and end of our trip to Puerto Rico. Room 22 was a bit dark and cavelike, but we loved the “outdoor” shower! Room 5 was bigger and brighter, but the “shower” was in a claw foot tub that was scary to enter and exit. A grab bar is needed. We enjoyed the neighborhood, but the property is a challenge to find, since gps directs you to locked up gates. The grounds are lovely and the vibe is cool.

The people (and the cats) are so nice and accommodating. Breakfast is absolutely delicious. The Coqui can get a little loud at night, but the place itself is very quiet and calming.

This is a great place to stay! They thought of everything down to little details. A little origami note on the bed upon arrival, great food and staff on site to help you with anything you need. I had a super awesome omelette and tried a cornmeal dish similar to oatmeal That I’ve never had before. Everything was perfect. The biggest plus was the amazing aesthetic. Everything was well put together and beautiful!!! Thank you so much for a great stay!

To be honest, I did not fully understand that the room I booked was going to look the way it did until I walked in - the bathroom and shower are located outside in a space I can only describe as a "mini-jungle" and the bedroom is a room with AC. I wouldn't have minded the separation of rooms if I didn't get bitten alive by mosquitoes each time I stepped out to the bathroom/shower. It's a great idea in theory (an outdoorsy shower/bathroom) but in actuality, it wasn't my cup of tea. I am glad it was only for one night! Other than that, the place itself had great bohemian vibes and great customer service - they came to my room to fix a lightbulb that wasn't working. They offer breakfast for an additional cost but they do provide you with beach towels and lend you beach chairs.

Beautiful place to stay ! Comfortable, clean and the aesthics were ao nice !! Only thing i dont like about the location is after 5pm the neighborhood gates close and tou have to walk a few blocks just to get back to the hotel. Oh and beach 1 block over !!!

First time female solo traveler and I picked Dreamcatcher because of the appealing aesthetic and it did not disappoint! It’s a very intimate atmosphere and I felt safe, comfortable and relaxed. The outdoor shower experience with the coqui frogs singing at night was so serene. The only thing is the mosquitoes but I’ll take a few bites to relive again. I don’t want to go home. Keep me here, make me stay!

We wanted a last minute small hotel stay ans let me start by saying that the exceeded my expectations. It was the best sleep i had in my almost week vacation in Puerto Rico. The minite you walk in the vibes alone made me feel like home. Tranquility, nice ambient, calm, soothing and the list goes on. I felt as if i could meditate from anywhere in the hotel. Domt believe me, please go and visit. I will definitely be going back. Great job you guys 🙌👏

Perhaps the best hotel you can visit in San Juan! I travel to PR a lot, and have visited almost every possible hotel over there. This one is just special. They managed to create an atmosphere that brings peace to your soul. It’s like a huge BNB, just with all hotel benefits. Hotel staff is very friendly, they also offer a variety of extra activities such as massages and beach yoga and similar for very affordable rates. Overall a great find in San Juan. Will definitely visit again. 10/10!

This was our worse stay ever in a hotel. The room was claustrophobic, must’ve measured about 5’x7’ and we’re being generous. There was a set of poorly constructed bunk beds. My husband is 6’3”, weighs 240 lbs and he literally had to slither up to his bunk bed. It felt like we were in the Swiss family Robinson treehouse. This room was not what was shown in the app and to compound the insanity of this “hotel” we had to walk about 25’ outside our treehouse type room to the bathroom. The bathroom was a complete cemented structure full of bugs and it felt like we were in a sauna. To further compound this duplicitous behavior, the bathroom is right in the midst of where the hotel conducts business with other guests. There’s absolutely no privacy. We would never recommend this establishment to anyone. This “hotel” should change their name to Nightmare Catcher. We are world travelers. My husband is a retired electrician and I’m a registered nurse of 33 years strong and this is without a doubt, the worst place we have ever stayed. If not for the fact that it was 2am and we were both totally exhausted, we would’ve left this place screaming at first site of our sleeping and bathroom quarters for Room 8. This is one of those times I wish we took photos, but didn’t.

Property was a vibe ! Very holistic earthy vibes Quiet , the animal noises are frogs 😝 lol We stayed in the poet room and it had a separate bathroom so downfall for couples or with a child , very antique so double check this place before booking if your not looking for that type of vibe :) Friendly clean fast and efficient with everything
