Very easy to check in and out. Rooms were a good size and clean. Communal kitchen meant could get morning coffee easily and use cooking appliances if wanted to.

Very basic hotel. Rooms are comfortable but no tv, no kettle, no cups, no staff at the reception. Very noisy neighbours, walls weren't sound proof and doors slam shut very loudly.
Great location though.

Very bare bones, basic rooms. On the plus, the beds were comfy, pillows and duvet were nice quality. Bathroom was clean, though compact. No shelf or space to put toiletries. No hand towel or face cloth, only 2 bath towels. There is no TV, fridge, kettle, safe or kleenex in the room. Basically, zero amenities. The flooring is a kind industrial vinyl over concrete, which I bet is off-gassing toxicity, and is cold and hard. It was clean though. The lighting is very dim in the room, it was hard to see at times. I was calling them the "interrogation" lights, because the angle from the ceiling was pointing at your eyes. Bizarre art of a lady in a bathtub full of bananas. We arrived at 12:45 and they charge 25 Euros extra to get the room before 15:00, even though it was empty. There is a kind of small communal kitchen in the basement where you can buy coffee in theory, but it did not work the day we tried. All the dishes were also dirty and unavailable the two times we went down there. Hotel Location is not awful, but it's not central to the stuff you want to see. You can get there by metro easily enough. There is a carrefour express grocery store nearby which is nice, and a Paul Bakery on the corner which is fabulous. Would not stay again unless had no viable other choice. Hotels were pretty expensive when we booked, but I would add a little more budget on the hotel, to try to get something a bit better.

overpriced for the condition of hotel. No service and not even a kettle

Excellent hotel. Easy to check in and pay. Room was great

There is no real reception. If you dont get the code or it doesn't work the machines promise someone will come soon. But nobody ever comes. Finally I found an office, where there was a good service, but there ain't any signs to show that.

It was great! Checking in and out was efficient with the machines. The hotel is in a good locality for eateries and sight seeing.

We were happy with our stay at CityBox.
It is self check-in and check-out, which was straight forward, once I found the correct code.
Comfortable and clean.
Basic but, all that was needed for our stay which was to spend time exploring the city, not the hotel.
There is a kitchen and laundry facility for guests to use.
We used the kitchen/dining/chill area and stored things in the fridge. Only issue was there were no cups available for making tea/coffee on our last morning, which was disappointing.
An improvement would be to have tea/coffee facilities in the room.
Overall, a good stay and location for exploring what Brussels has to offer. Lots of shops/restaurants nearby.

My room window was next to a busy street and it was very noisy, especialy with the tram

Smallish room. Cramped space. Have to goto the reception to replace towels.

Our small double was what depression feels like… barely any sunlight.. no kettle or TV.
Shower was at maximum temperature and was lukewarm.
My partner kept waking up with bites all over his body.
I feel like we were catfished because the photos look GREAT!
Loved Brussels, but will not be staying at Citybox again!

CItyBox is all about efficiency and, if efficiency is your desire, performs well. Don't look for staff--there really aren't any. Kick check-in/check out; keys issued by machine. Maid service only on demand. Tight quarters with no frills but clean, efficient, a soli spot for a place to sleep while working.

We had an unfortunate experience with bedbugs. I got multiple bites on my face, under my breasts, and on my upper thighs. I am in lots of discomfort and I feel pretty disgusted by it.

Its clean, its cheap, but you only get a room service once a week, which feels a bit too long

Loved the concept of the hotel. No waiting in line to check in or out. Also note having a daily clean of the room was good because as a solo traveller, I don’t make a mess or need it.

Very new appearing hotel. While the hallways were in need of vacuuming when we arrived, our room was very clean! Room was spacious and comfortable, only downside was no TV and safe for the room. Basic amenities only- no cups in room, no coffee machine, no face cloths.
We were excited to book a place that had a laundromat, as we are in Europe for 16 days with only carry on luggage. We were very disappointed at how much this hotel charged for laundry services- 14 euros to wash and dry one load and it came out damp. A nice place to stay, but do your laundry elsewhere as such a rip off.

Very helpfull personell. I liked the hotel very much. I will be back.

I think it’s pretty absurd to not offer room cleaning services unless you’re staying for over 4 nights!
We stayed there for 3 nights!

We recently stayed at the Citybox Brussels hotel, and here are some of the observations. I get that the hotel is budget friendly, and I am ok with basic accommodations and limited amenities, but there were just too many issues during our stay to consider staying here again.
Pros:
- Budget friendly
- Great location with easy access to restaurants, sites and public transportation
- Easy and quick self service check in and check out
- Friendly staff (when we requested to change rooms, it was done on the spot)
- Separate space for hotel guests with amenities like laundromat, kitchen, hang out space (TV and table tennis) and a conference room
- Housekeeping service
- Extra towels available upon request (and they will be needed since they extra thin)
- Comfortable bed
Cons:
- There are no shelves to store your closes in just a few hangers and knobs on the wall. For a few days, it’s fine, but we stayed for a week.
- There is no safe, so you have to keep your valuables with you at all times.
- While there is housekeeping, there is no sign that you can hang on the door to prevent them from coming in. And they come in rather quickly, a few knocks and the door opens.
- One side of the hotel faces a busy street and a tram line, so it can get pretty loud. When we changed rooms, the new room was facing a quiet street.
- We had an issue with A/C in our room (apparently a known issue), so we asked to change rooms. The new room was a little better, but it had an individual unit (not cent

Good clean hotel, no fridge, microwave, coffee machine in room like we are used to in Canada, but there is a hotel kitchen in basement. The coffee machine is $2 per cup though.

Located in a nice area. Very clean. I like the self-check in !

This hotel was a great find! It has self service check in, but there are also members of staff if you have issues. As they do not have a restaurant themselves, on their website they recommend places to dine from breakfast to dinner! If you want a cheaper option, they provide a kitchen for the guests where you can have take out food or even cook for yourself. I would highly recommend!

The room is really small but all in all fine. The position is very convenient.

Brand new Hotel with self service only

very good location for public transport. The hotel is self service with staff on hand to help if necessary. The room was very clean and has everything you need. I liked that you can come and go as you please. I would definitely stay again. If you are looking for a modern self service hotel, without all the unnecessary features of a traditional hotel - checkin desk, tea/coffee, minibar etc this is the place for you.

great hotel for a short stay. Bed was comfortable. Easy check in/out.

The Hotel was in the Center of Everything!

Everything was good, typical European budget hotel with small spaces. Is brand new, the air conditioner on the room kept doing a weird noise every 5 minutes (it disturbs the sleep sometimes) but on the hotel behalf I only stayed 2 nights so didn’t reported it.

kind stuss, automate and quigh check-in/check-out system, good room

Automatic out of hours check in was confusing and not working for my stay, asked for staff on the screen but no one came. Had to look around the property to find the office.
But the overall property, rooms, facilities such as self checkout and bag storage is outstanding. Would book with them again

Great new hotel - basic (scandi style) but not cheap. There is also a communal kitchen, laundy, game room and meeting rolms available. Overall great great value for
Moneywith a good location.
Only issue is that is has self checking at a computer. When booking through hotels.com the code arrives late or never. There is usually 1 person in the office who can help or you can call a number.

Not a comfortable stay.

This is a very good value, new hotel in Brussels. Only issues I had were parking, which was difficult to find anywhere close to the hotel. I had to leave early in the morning and the front doors were locked, the night manager was asleep and when I woke him up we still couldn't get the doors open so I had to get out through an underground car park, which i never knew was there.
Anyway these were small issues and overall its a great value hotel.

City box hotel was amazing. Brand new , still under construction. The check in/out done in 30 sec. There is a person available at all the time if need it. The little cafe is amazing too. The only thing for us was the AC. It was making a lot of noise during the night and waking us up.
