Rejuvenate your senses while you bask in the beauty of the Mother Nature!

Deodar Homestay exceeded our expectations right from the get-go. The moment we entered the gates, the tall trees probably the Himalayan deodar (makes sense given the name of this homestay already implies) serenaded us with a gentle breeze. For us, this was a weekend getaway and it couldn't have been any better. What else? All we had to do was sip tea, relax with a good book, and have long conversations. Not to forget their two lovely golden retrievers and a cat that added so much to our delight! Talk about the homestay. The room; comfort; cleanliness; staff and overall hospitality - we had it all. While there is no restaurant on site, you can avail home cooked meals. Roads are good and the property has ample space for parking. To sum it all. If I have to revisit Almora, I would choose this property once again, and this time not for a 2 night stay, but for a good week long retreat and may be more. Who knows? :)

I would have loved to have more choices for breakfast.

It was wondrous. Far, far beyond expectations.

Just everything was as perfect as one could have wished - the location, the estate, the gardens, the views, the staff, the hosts, the food, the personalised care, the attention to detail, local knowledge of the owners - superlative in every respect.

Beautiful homestay with everything exceeding expectations

Mr Prakash was very courteous and exceptional in cooking and handling customer. Plus the owner took personal interest in all aspects of the visitors stay

Exceptional

The staff was caring, provided personalized service, the food was prepared with utmost care and flavors. We needed a taxi for local sightseeing and Prakash made the arrangements and ensured our travel goals were met. Prakash, the professional on call was a great support and the food he prepared was liked even by my parents who are typically not fond of outside food.

I am extremely fortunate, for having found this amazing place to stay. Starting with apprehensions, we landed at Deodar homestay with help of Prakash ji, care taker who guided us to beautiful property. Prakash ji is an extremely dedicated person, he looked after all our needs and provided delicious food. There are few things I want to highlight: The food was extremely organic and made with love full of authentic flavors and it was delight to eat. The service was very good. The staff is extremely humble and friendly. The property itself is a great, fresh air, trees, view of Mountains, two very friendly dogs. The amalgamation of all these factors lead to soul satisfying experience, I will definitely go again. Thanks to Owners, Prakash ji and other staff members.

Old-world charm in 2020!

Beautiful homestay- small, with just 6 rooms. The room was spacious, well-appointed, with a modern bathroom. Good food, and a smiling, responsive staff make the stay very comfortable. Perched atop a hill, you get a surround view of the mountains- otherwise obscured by the giant deodar trees all around. And what's more, they're pet-friendly!

Property premises within the compound could've been kept tidy. Lot of construction material strewn around. This dims the charm of the beautiful bungalow.
