Cleanliness, friendly staff, location to the market, ease of parking
4.4
Location is nice, walk to downtown in 5-10 minutes.
Private parking upfront.
Nice breakfast, you can choose from the menu, mostly eggs and pancakes. But fine to start the day.
Rooms were clean, big enough and bed was nice. Interieur is a bit dated, but thats the charme
A lot of homeless people in the area. Didnt see that many people together in other cities.
If you take a street nearby, that makes its more comfortabele to walk around.

Loved the location and comfy bed.
Seems like the tv's are an issue if that is important to you. For us it did not matter.

because of my schedule i wasn't able to partake in the breakfast, staff made sure i knew about the breakfast though. thank you very much
this is one of the best places i have stayed at in Ottawa, there isn't anything i didn't like about these accomadations.

Breakfast was amazing! Eggs Benedict was phenomenal. The staff was so accommodating. Extra pillows, phone cord chargers, ice.
The bed was very uncomfortable. I spoke to management when I left and they said next time ask they would add a topper for the mattress.

I was there with a friend for 1 night, in a 2-bed suite. It was a lovely place! Very clean, comfortable, quiet, staff was very helpful. Breakfast was great, it was freshly cooked, a la carte, not like some inns or hotels where the complimentary breakfast was a buffet that had been sitting there for hours! Overall experience was fantastic! The wifi was ok - I did get kicked off a couple of times, so I had to log back in, but when I was on it, it was pretty fast. I had to attend an event at the National Arts Centre, so the location was quite good - short 15-min. walk. I would definitely stay there again next time I visit!
The free wifi could be a little more stable. I got interrupted twice but logging back in was no problem. And when I was connected, it was fast.

Good breakfast. Very interesting property. Good value and central location. Will stay here again when we're next in Ottawa.

Really enjoyed staying somewhere different rather than another boring hotel . The staff were lovely, great breakfast & location was perfect . Close to the centre but far enough away to be close to everything.
For me the beds were far too hard & neither of us slept well the first night but we asked the staff for a mattress topper & that really helped.

Very clean, really good breakfast and 10 minutes walking distance to the Byward Market. On site parking was great too!
No complaints. 😊

Clean and offers the basics for very good value. located within walking distance of most of the city attractions
area had a lot of homeless people and unwelcome wildlife that you encounter

From the outside appearance, location and security to the full service and positivity of the staff.

private room, quiet and clean. Room was upgraded as a result of availability and being myself understanding and flexible with owners schedule.
Not applicable. Everything was o.k. we talked and everything got settled promptly.

Good location - 10 minute walk to Byward market and the canal, a bit more to parliament. Quiet residential street and vey comfortable bed. All the necessities were there - soaps, shampoo, lotions, etc. and very clean. Street parking on weekends. Breakfast was tasty and freshly made, and served in the elegant living room and dining room. Juices (not sure if the orange juice was freshly squeezed, as we didn’t try it), tea and drip or Keurig coffee were served in nice china - so if that’s your thing, go for it. We hit some of the great independent roasters in the city for that.
The linens and bedding were pretty basic and not of the calibre one would expect in a B&B - thin staticky blanket on the bed, and equally thin towels for the WC. The decor was really at the level of a nice roadside motel and needs an update.
Good thing there is overnight street parking on the weekend as each time we returned, the on site lot was full (and would have been an additional $10/night).
Breakfast really only caters to meat and egg eaters with no alternatives for those who don’t eat egg, pork, or meat. So if you don’t eat those things, you just get less, no substitutions or alternatives.
While there was clear signage all over about masking and checking vaccine status, no one checked our status and we saw folks checking out with their masks off.

Everything. Exactly what I wanted, a place with history and atmosphere that didn't
make me feel like a lab rat like modern hotels do.
