Gute Lage, freundlicher Empfang, grosses Zimmer mit grossem Bett und einem funktionierenden Cheminee
Duschkopf war etwas verkalkt

The location was great.
It needs to be renovated. The bathroom was falling apart. The gutter was hanging off the side of the building. The pillows were very hard and uncomfortable. You can tell they are trying hard to make it nice but it really needs an overhaul. To be fair we had a dog, and it was cheap, and it was for one night so my expectation was not high. I probably would not stay there again.

Carmel by the Sea is wonderful.
Everything. There was very few parking spaces. The floor was filthy! There were holes in in the towels. And no closets! When I complained to the manager he was rude and belligerent. I paid $369 per night for a 2 night stay. The manager refused to give me a discount, saying that I was already getting one because the room usually is charged at $569 a night.

The room was perfect for what we needed. It was comfortable, affordable, and spacious! The grounds were beautiful and the location was great! We were able to walk to a fabulous restaurant for dinner.

In a word, nothing so much so that I refused to stay there, and gave the manager the keys before even asking my wife in.
I checked in at 3, and saw the room, and immediately said this is unacceptable The room smelled, the bedding looked like someone could have just slept in it, the rug was very dirty - many spots, windows and bath below standards. Every hotel I have stayed in since Covid has clean standards that this hotel did not meet. It was a cramped, under the stairs room, not a city view, or a 'suite'. I asked the clerk (who was not at all friendly) could I upgrade. he said no, so I gave him the key back and said I would not bring my wife there. Frankly, I couldn't wait to leave. Since Carmel appeared full, we left and spent the night in Pismo at the Spyglass InnDirty, smelly, cramped, uncared for - In general not acceptable.

Room and bathroom was nice and clean. However, we didn't get any service cleaning the room or changing towels.
Heating couldn't be controlled, very hot at night and cold in the morning.
Bed sheets were terrible. Really very very old fashioned and uncomfortable. Only sheets not comforter.
Coffee starting at 8 in the lobby..... awful coffee, absolutely not drinkable

I did like the location and the curb appeal and the outdoor charm, and the fireplace in the room.
I didn’t like that there wasn’t a microwave oven or coffee maker in the room and no carpeting or area rug on the floor.

Location. The bed was good and comfortable.
Facilities are in immediate need of upgrade

The location was great. Loved the room & fireplace. It was super cozy & we enjoyed just chillin in the room. It was just really nice & we definitely wanna go back.
The bed & pillows were not comfortable. The bed was hard & pillows were flat. Also the fireplace was really nice & worked great except the glass window needs to be cleaned to enjoy the view of the fire. It's like completely fogged over. My husband said he wished he could pull out the window & just wipe it down. Lol.

Perfect Location. Brilliant welcome from the staff. We will be back.
It could be a touch cleaner...but not a deal breaker.

Easy check-in and check out
A little far away from the center of the city.

location and it felt clean-
The linens needed to be updated. The sheets looked clean- the extra blanket was stained and the quilt looked well used.

It was like our own little apartment with a fireplace and even came with an extra room and 2 twin beds which we didn't use. It was very close to the restaurant went to, so we were able to walk there and back.
We couldn't get the fireplace to work. The guy at the front desk was a little creepy.

The location was perfect, staff was pleasant, room was clean, fireplace was a plus and the room was overall comfy.
Room smelt like clorox and we had to leave a window open. The room is very outdated and the top of our door could not be shut from the inside. It was an old door that had 2 parts with a top and bottom. Fridge was not cleaned and the nob was missing to turn it on.

I liked the family, suite accommodation. The size of the room and number of beds worked well for our group.
This is the third time I’ve stayed at the Wayfarer Inn. Each time it has had a lot of trash around the property-large cardboard boxes and other items. additionally, the staff knew the number of people staying in the room, but provided less towels than needed. When we realize this, no staff was available to fix this.
