Quaint and charming inn

I like the room design, so old world... spacious bathroom with nice and colorful toiletries... Breakfast in the basket reminded me of hotels in Glastonbury...boiled eggs and bread could have made it a complete breakfast...and they should be delivered earlier than 8 to 8:30..so close to bus stop, so going to Monterey is easy....the front desk people were so helpful and easy to deal with

The bedsheets were a bit itchy...no bread and eggs included in the breakfast... But supermarket is just a block away...

This was a great find. I would definitely return.

Great location. Service great. Rooms nicely appointed and comfortable. Great price. Look out your door in the morning, for a bundled basket of breakfast. Would definitely return.

Calming, relaxing and rejuvenating stay in Carmel.

The service, location and employees were friendly, courteous and helpful with our questions. Continental breakfast outside our door each morning was so welcoming as well as delicious. The location was right near the happenings of the quaint town.

I feel scammed.

The location was good.

The carpet was black with grime. The room smelled really bad and there was hair on the bed. We checked out early because we couldn’t stay in a room that filthy.

The bed was far from the tv. The carpet could be replaced. The breakfast basket at my door was a nice touch.

I wouldn't stay there again. The bedding smelled like dust. The outlets didn't work. they need a long mirror in

location, breakfast, price , the fridge and the microwave. Cleaning ladies very friendly and accommodating.

very out dated, rooms were claustrophobic, furniture too large and too busy. Arriving there staff not very friendly. They do not try to accommodate an early check in.

It was a great location and we definitely would return

It was cozy and the location was very convenient to a lot of the restaurants and stores in Carmel. I loved the gardening around the motel. They gave us a continental breakfast at our doorstep. The water in the shower had good pressure and warmed up quickly. It was a nice and quiet place to stay.

The bed was hard and there was gap under the door that could be easily fixed so critters could not come in. The parking lot is small and tight however this is common in Carmel and there is street parking.

Basic motel

Easy to find. Free parking.

Small room. No view, high wall about 6 inches from window. No breakfast, pool not in use and half full of dirty water.

Very nice and affordable lodging in Carmel.

Downtown location/walking distance to restaurants and shops. Free on site parking.

Parking lot was tight. Suited to smaller vehicles. No elevator.

Good location, but needs to be updated.

The bathroom had been updated, but the towels could have been a better quality.

Our room was close to the office, and at times we had our door open to get in some natural light, as our room was dark. There were loud conversations. The bed was not comfortable. Visible dust on the baseboard behind the bed. A piece of black plastic had been left behind by a previous customer between the bed and nightstand.

Disappointing

facility seem run down, ice machine is across the street. bathroom needs door hooks. in check in sent to a room that was occupied a day before check out room was getting ready to be serviced and room key blocked. TV system needs updating poor / old receiver & Remotes

Disappointing

1. Signage said breakfast was no longer available, so we purchased some items and ate them. We were not told that a breakfast basket would be delivered which be found only when opening the door to leave. 2. Checkout staff objected to splitting room charge across two cards, saying it had already been charged to a single card. The resulting charge is still not completely resolved.

The place looks and feels like a cheap motel, with run-down rooms and dated furnishings.
