The room and property was beautiful! breakfast was very good and the presentation was nice. we had everything we needed and if we needed anything more the family was responsive and helpful. We will be back!
the only thing that was disappointing is that the hot tub when we tried using it the jets shot out loads of dirt and even after a 2-3 times draining and trying to get it clean it was still unusable. however, I was compensated for this and the property management was very respectful and apologetic for this hiccup. they also have a hot tub on the deck area so we could use that.

The location. The house is right on the water, you have access to a dock, kayaks, a canoe, lawn chairs and a hot tub right overlooking the water.
We had absolutely no reception upon arriving, if it hadn't been for the fact that we had been there before, we would not have known where to go or how to check in. They basically don't speak English. New owners are nothing like the previous owners. The breakfasts were beyond bad. Won't go back unfortunately, because it is a great location

Dock set up was very nice, nice atmosphere and lights around the property. Use of hot tub and watercrafts was excellent. Very quiet and relaxing.
Tv stopped working halfway through our first night, told staff and nothing was done/said about same. Breakfast hotdog sausage was also not out favorite choice, rest of the breakfast was great though.

There isn’t much to not like about the property, while I have my morning coffee with my husband we get a wonderful view of the lake, and the tranquility of nature that surrounds it.
The only thing to say is a bit of a bother is the small ringing you hear when you first arrive, I assume it’s for pests or bats but the noise digs deep into the skull. Once you get around the property it’s gone.

Breakfast was superb! Bathroom had a lot of toiletries and the jacuzzi was a nice suprise!
Yummy columbian coffee was delicious and avacado smoothy was also perfect.
Gumpas netflix.
Netflix available and A/C in the room was quiet and perfect.
Kayak and canoe was great. The dock, swing, bbq, and lounge hammok on the dock was a great suprise and so comfortable.
Nice slippers provided.
Very quiet environment (Morning was dead quiet)
Bathroom door not aligned and wouldnt close.
Open soap bar, clearly used in washroom. No new soap bar.
They clearly came into the room while we were away and did not lock the guest connection room door. Essentially leaving our room open to other guest = security issue.

Beautiful location and suite!
This bed and breakfast has new owners. Communication with the owners was very difficult (their English is poor). Breakfast was not Western style and was very disappointing.
3.9
The location and the view. The room was very large but not tastefully decorated. Complimentary kayaks. Parking (but it would be a bit if a squeeze if you had to park three cars).
Awful breakfast, uncomfortable bed and pillows, lack of communication by the hosts who could barely speak English (they seemed to be lovely people but we simply couldn’t understand what they were saying). The towels had a terrible overly scented smell that was truly unbearable. No tissues or paper towels in the room. It was also very noisy as we could hear everything that was going on upstairs (owners residence) - people talking, walking and what sounded like furniture being moved, and it was terribly loud and annoying. We booked this B&B because we wanted a serene and peaceful location and that was definitely not the case. It appears that these are new owners and they’ve made many changes that detract from the experience. Our King room was supposed to have a four poster bed and be tastefully decorated but that was not the case. All in all, we didn’t think it offered value for money.

The location was lovely and the room nice
The hot tub was cold and wouldn’t warm up,couldn’t find anyone who understood us to fix it.the food was aweful.cold, and sometimes not fully cooked and again she dropped it off and ran away before finding out if it was ok. There was no coffee filters in our room and no sugar.never in my life have I’ve been given a wiener for breakfast.the only thing I liked was that we got fruit with breakfast every day. The only tea they had was green tea so we got up and went to Tim Hortons every day. And btw the picture and names of the people on this site are Not the people who are there.their English not good enough to talk to guests

Our room was wonderful - spacious, great view, comfortable bed, clean. Very happy with the room. Enjoyed the lake - dock area was well equipped. Took out a kayak, relaxed on outdoor furniture, very nice.
The only reason I didn't give it a 10 is that we heard talking and footsteps from the room above us. It even sounded at times like they were moving furniture around - this spoiled the ambiance of the room. Also it was a little odd that we never saw anyone and breakfast was just left on the dining table outside our room.

Hot tub wasn’t after people said they would get it working, no refresh on towels, ended up getting a different room that we wanted and no one came to see if we needed anything extra.

Beautiful, comfortable. Very very relaxing. Beautiful scenery. Fabulous breakfast in the morning.
Nothing

The view
Stairs were dangerous to the room. Poor lighting in the dark
Better communication with owners would have been helpful. Didn’t seem to have anyone on site to help (tv to work, fan for fireplace, food choices for breakfast)

Location overlooking Long Lake is lovely
Breakfast was decent, but not exceptional
Very comfortable and good value
Parking was very tight for 3 vehicles

Site- good next to lake and with view.
Room comfortable and reasonably equipped
1. For first 24 hours, no greeting nor communication with Vietnamese speaking owner/ caretaker with poor english . Although he was on hand in background on our arrival, despite our obvious age, no help with heavy bags through narrow, wet rocky passage and down steep steps to room.
2. No attempt to ask if all was ok, what was required for breakfast etc. When it arrived each day, very indifferent and reminiscent of english boarding school of 1950s!
Another guest's used dirty breakfast tray in dining room still in situ a DAY later.
In summary , very disappointing, not of the purported standard and thus not value for money.

Absolutely beautiful location and everything you could want for use for water sports and the dock was amazing!
The hosts were completely absent. No one to greet you and no one to show you to your room which was not straight forward. We ended up having to Google the property to find a phone number to get ahold of one of the owners who told us someone would come to help us check in but no one ever did and the owner that lived in the home did everything he could to avoid contact. Our suite was right under the owners and the noise from upstairs was quite loud till 10PM and then again at 7AM. The breakfasts which we discovered just appeared in the common area at 8:30 (no one told us this, we just found it going out to the dock) were not to our taste at all, they were all Asian inspired. We were there three nights and got Beef Pho the first morning,Summer Rolls the second and Chicken Pho the last. I can certainly appreciate a culturally diverse menu but I would have hoped for something more traditional at least one day. We went out to breakfast the last day as we were very disappointed.

Location on lake was beautiful. Unfortunately weather was poor, unable to take full advantage of water sport opportunities
On arrival, no host, small child answered our door knock. No coffee available in room, only tea was green tea. All in room information referred to previous owner, including phone number for questions. Current owners not readily available for questions, limited command of the language.

The view from our suite is so gorgeous and the patio is perfect for sunset!!! The breakfast is very delicious. We enjoy staying here😊

We loved that It was right on the lake kayaking was so fun we hung out on the dock all day and night. The room was beautiful and the Jacuzzi bathtub was a very appreciated . It was nice that we were left alone to do our thing and not be bugged. We would totally come again and stay longer next time.
We did not like the breakfast on the first day it was summer rolls. I do like summer rolls but not for breakfast. The next day it was eggs benny so they redeemed themselves perhaps a choice on whats for breakfast? And a little bit more professionalism when arriving would have been nice it would be nice to be greeted when arriving because we were unsure if we were even at the right place. There was also old food left in freezer. It was disappointing that the hot tub was closed it would have been nice to have been told about that when booking it.
3.9
Loved the view and the dock was top notch
The room was a little dirty but comfortable
The food was horrible. the regular chef must have been away because we heard so many good things about the food at this place.
Eggs people eggs. Not turkey soup with bones in it.
One out of three breakfasts was eatable and actually food one would eat for breakfast.

This property is a rare lakeside property in the city of Nanaimo. Tucked away on the end of a lane, the house and the suite were very private and quiet.
We stayed on bitterly cold winter nights but everything was cozy with the fireplace and small heater in the kitchen.
Everything was sparkling clean and we felt very "safe" during Covid We knew all surfaces had been thoroughly cleaned.
Rebecca was an attentive host and very accomodating with our breakfast needs.
Because of COVID it would have been nice to have handsanitizer and wipes...but we had our own, so no problem.
