HORRIBLE

We were super upset about the room given to us. Me and my partner usually go on trips and we frequently book places to stay the night or a couple of days. We were extremely disappointed with the room, SO UNCLEAN. The bed has vomit streaks on the side and the linens has some hairs all around it. We complained to the front desk and demanded another room but they have failed to give us a new one saying it was the only room available. In the end, my and may partner slept in the car. We were so disgusted!!

Underwhelming

The room smelled of disinfectant. Everything was very old. The air conditioner was deafening and impossible to adjust, pool was empty, no breakfast was included even though the ad said it was.

Stairs up to 2 nd floor wobbly and unsafe. Piles of garbage at back of parking lot

Far to expensive for what will be - even after full renovation - a basic motel.

It appeared the bedroom had been recently renovated and seemed clean.

This motel seems to be in the midst of renovation. Outside was not in good condition. Pool was not working. Stairs were dirty and unstable. Air conditionedr was very loud and seemed overworked. TV did not work.

breakfast was not provided as advertised. The TV did not work. The main room was plain and bare (a couch, a small end table desk type, a single chair), the lamp did not work, some renovations were still not completed. The main foyer/reception is out dated and in need of repairs would not recommend it and not up to the Super 8 standards seen at other hotels

Overpriced facilities

No breakfast available Rooms very dated, no face cloths in room. Went to office to get one and was told there were none available as order hadn’t showed up. Staff was pleasant though.

Facilities generally were in disrepair and unkempt.

Going under renovations. Should not be rented out unless completed. Also bed uncomfortable. Noisy. Never stay there again!

The motel worked for our budget & our stay.

Staff were, by & large, VERY helpful. I have difficulty with stairs these days, & they transferred us to the lower floor the next day after we checked in, when another room became available. This room had a full sized fridge! Breakfast was Tim cards, which is a nice touch. Walking distance to malls & a thrift store, all of which were across the streets bordering the motel.

The property is difficult to access due to road barriers; it was easier to get in & out once they opened up the gate by the alley (so we no longer had to drive south to find a turn around property so we could then go north, which is where family & restaurants are located). Rooms are in the process of upgrades, which is great, but those doing the work are careless (paint all over the floor, etc.) No place to hang clothes in the 2nd unit we were in. No one seems to dust things such as blinds & radiators. The beaches in Penticton are Skaha & Okanagan Lake, so the question 2 down does not make sense.

Horrendous ever again.

Being harassed, judged for being an indigenous woman in a same sex relationship. No coffee, creamer or towels a. Asked for my credit card info multiple times, also having a random door dash Transaction the day after checking In... ear wigs in the tub, having to reuse our towels..

Being told my damage deposit was returned and it wasn't. Even though our room was cleaner then when we went in it. Being triple charged for our room. Multiple requests for membership points to be added 3 out of 15 were added if that.

the location was good

the exterior of the hotel was very dirty and shabby , the room was never cleaned for the four days we stayed there, we had to ask for clean towels and to have the garbage taken away, was told to take our own garbage can to the dumpster an empty it also did not receive any coffee or shampoo after the first day. only one chair in the room

No frills but clean and quiet

The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The bed was comfortable, and despite being on the main drag in Penticton, the hotel was very quiet at night. Perfect location for us - very close to family we were visiting and right across from the mall. The hotel is being updated a bit, but it's still very no-frills - a good budget option.

The shower was TEPID! Budget accommodation can be no-frills and yet still exactly what you need as long as the bed is comfortable, and the shower is hot! This hotel had the first, but not the second!

Hotel did not return my deposit to my credit card. I am furious, we left the room in good condition and were only there for one night. They charged me 150 deposit and I never got the money back I would like them to return my deposit money ASAP

Don't stay here... seriously don't do it

Front desk clerk lent me a phone charger

A whole bunch of shady, sketchy people around. Looked like it is being used as a homeless shelter. Pounding music and banging way past 11. Not a safe or comfortable environment at all. Place was absolutely disgusting and needed major repairs. Stains on the couch. Missing baseboards. Broken doors. I didn't even feel comfortable enough to sleep under the sheets. The TV didn't work properly...I couldn't even believe this was a super 8. Oh yeah and there is no continental breakfast as advertised. I had to ask the front clerk about it and then I was given a $20 Tim Hortons gift card instead. Which doesn't help you if you dont want to leave the hotel for breakfast or if you have a few mouths to feed

My expectations were on the wrong page. If our room ha only costed $20.00 I would've been impressed.

The staff was freindly. They seemed to do the best they could with what they had.

The room was a $20. Room. The door lock couldn't latch, the furniture was in poor shape, the queen bed sagged so badly that we slept head to foot or the blood rushed to my head. Our 2 great Danes provided security so we were able to sleep.

Sketchy, unorganized, disheveled, disrespectful, deceitful.

We liked the price advertised on Booking.com.

When we arrived Sept 27, the female owner told us the price from Booking.com was an incorrect rate for October and we must pay more. It was kinda late at night (8pm) and we did not want to go looking for another room. The owner was completely unreasonable and tried to tell us at least 5 times that we were lucky to get a reduced rate (less than her normal September rate). Booking.com clearly advertised one rate and allowed us to book online and then the owner contradicted the rate and made excuses when we arrived. No sympathy from her at all. Terrible. I had to bite my tongue so I didn’t lose my temper. She had a partner who was disheveled and announced they did not expect more travellers to arrive. He had no clue what to do or how to register a guest then proceeded to yell into a hallway for the female owner. He was wearing his pyjamas in the office while the owner yelled back at him to have us fill out the registration card. Ughhhh so sick of service like this.

Junkie Motor Pass Inn

The worst motel I ever stayed in. Asked for No smoking room and it reaked like smoke. Dirty parking lot, junk cars filled with garbage and junkies working on them all day. The place is a health hazard and a drug dealing hub, prostitution and stolen goods.The fire alarms have been removed and there's no water in the swimming pool. It's unbelievable the city allows this motel to operate with so many violations. Pictures depicted on booking sites are not current. No one in their right mind would book this motel if they would see the way it looks now.
