Avoid

The staff were amazing

Mouldy windows (thick mould), rat droppings in the room, dirty, smelt damp, location as in the outskirts in more of a retail area, restaurant was awful. Wouldn’t walk around without shoes on as carpets stink. Pools were empty and dilapidated, kids park was fit for purpose, aircon wasn’t cold enough and very loud.

Absolutely nothing

I am covered in bed bug bites after my stay at this hotel. The carpet was smelly and damp There were needles from drug use by our car in the morning. By far the worst stay of our families move across Canada. We had to take an extra day and get another hotel to clean our car and all our laundry .

La pire hôtel de notre road trip.

Les lits étaient confortables et propres et il y avait une porte pour accéder nos bagages près de notre chambre à partir du stationnement.

La toilette ne fonctionnait pas bien du tout. Il fallait tirer la chasse d’eau à plusieurs reprises pour tout évacuer. Il y avait une forte odeur de chien partout dans l’établissement et les chambres étaient en tapis ce qui fait que l’odeur était encore plus forte dans celles-ci. La piscine intérieur n’était pas fonctionnel. Le tapis dans la chambre était taché de tâches brunes un peu partout. Ça ne vaut vraiment pas le 250$ la nuit que nous avons payé, même pour une seule nuit.

Location

Showing its age, floors wavy, uneven. Grasshopper season, hundreds anywhere you walked around hotel. I think room rates are too much and then you have the extra charges, too too much!!!

the room was not clean. air conditioner had dust on front which I cleaned off so not to have blowing around the room. phone was dirty which I cleaned. carpet needs to be updated. carpet from the 70’s and was dirty

We’ll never go back.

Located right on the hwy beside McDonalds. No sidewalk, so had to battle traffic to cross, Nothing weliked

Toilet not working properly. Front desk brought us a plunger, which did no good. Front desk had no interest in my report when we checked out. Neighbours above us and beside us were noisy.

Will not be staying here again

Room was not clean at all. The next morning we were all congested from dust in the room. Bathroom was not well lit, not clean. The pool and gym were closed as well.

Good facilities, nice staff, way too expensive!

The bed was ccomfortable, the shower was hot, there was a coffeemaker.

The only thing wrong was the price. With taxes, over $200.00

my comment above was what we did not like. There was nothing we liked.

The place was discussing. The whole place smelled and the carpets were dirty. We had to walk through a dirty stinky pool area to get to our room.

We will not go back on our return trip even though we paid for it. We will book somewhere else in Kenora.

Disappointing

I booked two rooms one for my family and the other for my brother and sister. The room my siblings were in had a queen bed and sofa bed. However the sofa bed was extremely hairy like a dog had slept on it and there were yellow stains that looked like pee on the bed as well. We talked to the front desk and they offered as new sheets to change and clean it ourselves but my sister refused to touch the sofa bed because it was disgusting and becuae they should have cleaned it. I will attach a picture of how I found the sofa bed.

Do not stay here unless you can overlook ALOT

My family and I are travelling cross country from Alberta to Toronto and I booked this place in advance so I wouldn’t have to to worry about finding a place after 9hrs of driving. We didn’t even get out of the vehicle. We went to park, and the building looked like a run down pool of disease. I was not aware that it was located in the bad area of town. Kenora is beautiful, just not this area.There were questionable people doing questionable things in the parking lot. We left and booked a room at the super 8. I find that the listing for this “hotel” is misleading. I made the mistake of not reading the reviews on Google.

the room was a nice size, receptionist was nice.

the room smelt like pee & the floors so dirty my child’s feet were black within 20 minutes. bath tub & sink was not wiped down after stay before.
