The hotel staff provided a wonderful introduction to Newfoundland and made our stay very pleasant.

Excellent location for ferry travelers, wonderful, welcoming staff.

Dinner at onsite restaurant could have been better. Problems with water supply required bottled water, which the staff gladly provided.

Room had a great view of the harbour. Could watch the ferries coming in. Dinner in restaurant was good even though water issues. Rooms were clean and comfy. Town had water main break. Water came on just before we arrived. Gave bottled water to drink and gave info re water use. Staff did best with bad situation.

St. Christopher review

Right next to the ferry complex. A dining room with table service and good food. There is a small window to open for fresh, ocean air.

The 11:00 pm blowing of the ferry's horn as it left the port.

Close to ferry and located close to off site restaurant. Staff were friendly. Nice view from window. Bed was comfy.

Registration/sign in took a while due to another patron. Restaurant closed 30 min after we arrived from ferry so needed to find other location. Went to local restaurant and service was equally slow. It was a hard time due to hurricane Fiona and lots of work was being undertaken in town. Uncertain if our stay was reflective of a regular time in Port aux Basques. It was an expensive stay for what was offered.

Room was clean

Couldn’t find the switch for the light over the sink. Light in bathroom came on. Maybe just a burnt out bulb? I forgot to tell the clerk when I checked out.

Clean and comfy

Great place to spend the night if you are catching the ferry to NS, the room was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed a delicious supper in the restaurant and breakfast in the morning was good, my room had a nice view of the ocean with a beautiful sunrise, will stay again when I am back on the Rock.

Location to the ferry.

There is a restaurent within the hotel witch is very convenient, however the food is expensive and not good. I had the Fisherman's platter, and ask to replace the startch with a salad, an upcharge of $4. I reveived a $27 food order. Wasn't worth 1/2 of that. The scallops were the size of marbles and so overcooked.
