Breakfast?
Smoke alarm. Water temp in shower was a cause for concern. The bathroom door needs some WD 40 for a squeak. Small stuff. Port side Buoy Barn.

The cabin was quaint and cozy. My kind of place to stay. Love the simplicity.
The mattresses need to be changed. You could feel the inner springs alone the sides and it was a little saggy.

The location was absolutely unique and beautiful. It was like staying in a small town from the past.
It was honestly perfect!

Great room and view.

Location, historic reference, owner on-site very accommodating.
9.0
Nice accommodations with dishes and utensils.
Lackluster WiFi and not enough coffee. There was only one pack of coffee provided for the coffee maker. I was under the impression that I would be able to walk to the lighthouse. In theory, you can, but I made it about 500 feet and turned around and went back. The road is very narrow with no shoulders and in many places there is nowhere to step off if there is a car coming. I felt it was too dangerous to walk on, especially later in the day when the sun might be in peoples eyes.

Beautiful spot and very comfortable.

We didn’t have a breakfast included, but space was very accommodating for food prep. We had already eaten dinner in town earlier, so didn’t need anything except for the blueberry pie we brought.
The seating in the main room was a bit limited, and the beds were average, but comfortable enough. The shower water took a while to get hot, but did finally get warm enough.

The location and views are nice. Very quiet area. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. There was no staff on-site at any time, but we were able to help ourselves to extra blankets in the utility rooms.
The room itself smelled very musty when we got in, there are traces of black mold in various corners. We emptied and restarted the dehumidifier and opened the windows, which alleviated the smell.

This property has everything a couple or family would need. It’s proximity to so many interesting things to do is great. For example, only minutes away are hiking/walking trails, lighthouse, shops and views that will take your breath away.
The property was super clean and filled with all the necessities. Great WiFi connection. Incredible peacefulness. Good job to the owners who have clearly gone above and beyond.
Oh my goodness, there was absolutely nothing/ nada/zero things I did not like about this place. Simply wish it was closer to my home so I could stay more often.

The facility was fabulous, a historical naval station, with a cupola at the top (of spiral stairs) which gave a 360 degree view of the property. Wonderful view of the ocean! Loved walking around the area and being able to visit the lighthouse which is about 1-2 miles further down the road. Also loved having separate BR and living area with kitchen. It was very comfortable and we would return again if in Maine. Very clean and very comfortable, very well managed property.
If traveling from north along Rt 1 don't let GPS take you thru Eastport on Hwy 190 unless you are SURE ferry is operating otherwise you'll waste 1-1/2 hours; only route in is via 189 or 191.
The bathroom was strange due to the building layout, long and narrow with a small walk-in shower. The mirror was on the opposite wall from the vanity and there wasn't much room for toiletries. Also, kitchen could use an additional outlet b/c the one was used for fridge, microwave, toaster and/or coffee maker. Had to unplug microwave to use another small appliance. Everything could be worked around and it wasn't a deal breaker, it was just a little inconvenient.

Being a history buff - and in particular, a fan of old lighthouses / lifestations - it was a thrill to spend the night in an old Coast Guard lifestation. The history of the place, and the location in Lubec, Maine, made it a very special stay. It was a really foggy night when we stayed, but that only added to the ambiance that made Midwesterners like us enjoy the stay all the more. Although he didn't identify himself as such, I believe it was the owner who greeted us when we arrived and gave us a personal "lay of the land", including recommending a restaurant in Lubec which we ultimately had dinner at, which had a fabulous view of the water and a Canadian lighthouse (Mulholland Point Light). There are multiple buildings on the site; we stayed in "The Lodge", which once was the maintenance building for the old Coast Guard Lifesaving station, where they pulled the boats in to work on them. The room itself was very well equipped, with two double beds in the bedroom, a large bath, and a large kitchen / dinette / living area. The kitchen was well-equipped, though we did not use it except for the full-size refrigerator. The floors are primarily tile, which is a little cold in the morning, but the bathroom is clean and large (note: The water takes a pretty good length of time to warm up as the rooms in the Lodge are the furthest from the water heater.) There is a greate view of the water - unfortunately, the fog took that view away from us. The lighthouse is 5 minutes down the street and is a must-see. The West Quoddy Station features a number of "extras", including patios, games, etc, Beds were OK, but more than acceptable. Close to the downtown area of Lubec, Maine, and some nice little restaurants, just be aware that most of them close between 7 and 8 pm!
Nothing. Great stay.

Location and price
our handicapped accessible room was actually inside of an old 3 bay garage. Heater was in the living room so bedroom and bathroom were cold. It was too cold for my 86 year old mother in law to shower. It does have handicap grab bars beside the toilet, however with a low toilet and high grab bars she could not use it herself. A decent price for being able to view the ocean, but not ideal for elderly. Definitely not sound proof, everything echoed. Self check in and check out- we had phone numbers to contact staff, but never actually saw any employees in the office.

A quaint cottage in a fantastic location close to lighthouse/hiking/scenic rocky beaches
Could use some acoustic privacy for the bathroom and more kitchen towels

The location was wonderful. The room itself was well-appointed and well laid out for us. The property was also able to accommodate a late check-in, which we appreciated.

No breakfast provided. Location was great no complaints. Would recommend & definitely stay here again. Washer & dryer available for use.
Would have liked a larger shower, but nothing really bad.

The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped, and the space had everything you would need. WiFi worked well. Nice outdoor seating and gathering areas for unwinding and socializing! Beautiful scenery and location.
Shower was a bit small. Was a little confusing finding our room since we arrived later in the evening. We thought our room name was the building name and got a bit lost. Figured it out though!

Incredible location, gorgeous views close to Quoddy Head State Park and town of Lubec. Spacious suite of rooms including a well-appointed kitchenette. The bath towels are among the nicest I've ever used (even better than home!) Unique, quiet, lovely lodging in a historic property.
