Good location

The location was good.

Housekeeping did not replace the towels and washcloth and bring in more coffee and cups. We went to the front desk to ask for at least some washcloths and were told there were none. We were retrieved our coffee for the next day. The shower needed some updating when you turned on the shower, the water still ran out of the faucet below.

Beautiful sitting area with couches and outside gazebo. Good size bar with bartender. Pool

Could use updates. Stains on floor, worn molding. Strangely, the drain mechanism was pulled out and laying in middle of tub. Not just stopper but whole sharp mechanism

Second visit to this hotel

Big bed, good size room for child to run around. Great lobby space also

This was our second time staying here ,this time we had a toddler with us. Noisy fan , part of heating / AC system, a lot of cold air gushing out of it. Stayed 10 nights, there 3 days before room was serviced, things improved then. Rang reception but no answer. Reception staff don't go out of the way to give information about breakfast etc

The hotel is large and decorated beautifully. The staff were friendly. We had breakfast 2 mornings and it was value for money.

Danbury can be a quiet area and the bar area was not so good in the hotel.

horrible experience

put us in an adjoining room and then put a group in the other room. they were loud, smoking pot (in a non smoking hotel). they were having fights and yelling at midnight and when we asked them to quiet down, they threatened us and tried to enter our room from the adjoining door and then proceeded to bang on our hallway door. we had to call the police. we were not comfortable remaining so had to drive over 2 hours to go home at 1 am. Hotel said they would refund the one night (although they should refund the entire stay for this terrifying experience). Have yet to see any refund or apology. They also have the nerve to charge a $50 cleaning fee (you are a hotel, NOT an AirBnB) even though they never once entered our room to do anything. Makes your rates false advertising. Have stayed here numerous times, but this experience made it our last time. Will never go back.

it was just fine nothing to brag about

the size, the ball room , the outdoor patio the restaurant very clean

the room was not at all what I thought I was getting. My room was comparable to any other cheap hotel room. My room was clean but tub had rust stains and staff told me my section was from 1972 and not updated like the back part. when I booked it I though it was what I was seeing online I was disappointed considering it’s an Ethan Allen
