Horrible.

The room price is not expensive.

There is no sign for it being an inn, the taxi driver had once missed it from driving on the road. It is just among one of the domestic houses, none would figure it out to be an inn. No cleaning, change of towels or making beda are provided. In case towels need to be cleaned, the tenant has to pay for the washing and operate the washing and drying machines himself. The landloard said it was all written in their policy, but such policy was never revealed by booking.com or by the landlord before or upon check-in. The worst part was that although we have told the landlord we would check-out at around 4:00am, he just requested us to return the room key the night before, when we moved out in early morning, the whole common area (outside our room and downstairs to the entrance of house) was in total darkness. It was fortuntate that we did not fell down the staircase with our suitcases. Thank god! Never recommend it to any one in future.

Thank you for being a great host for us!

The house is nice. Our hosts are very kind and friendly. We like the location as it is easy to get to the train station. The neighbourhood is beautiful! Would definitely recommend and come back!

There is no dining table in the living area to enjoy breakfast. Room gets hot and needs to leave the window open at night while the traffic is noisy from back streets. Other than that, the room is spacious and great for us!

Pleasant stay near Steveston

Good location to airport, with comfortable sized room. Great location to bus stop (walkable) and easy drive/uber to Steveston (definitely would recommend a visit - favourite place in Vancouver)

Host didn't speak English well which was an issue - we didn't realise there needed to be a 50CAD deposit (cash unless Canadian bank account) and it was difficult to discuss this with him. We also requested an early check-in which he was able to do until the day before as the current guests requested a late check out so he reverted our early check in. He still let us leave our luggage there until check in, but after a long hall flight from Australia we were desperate to get some rest. Luckily, the neighbour noticed us trying to decide where we should go before our check in and recommended Steveston which was beautiful and took our mind off it.

Good location, get what you pay for

Good location, nice and close to train station to get you pretty much anywhere.

Crazy warm in room, toilet water was running 24/7, the house floor was crazy sticky

Quaint

In a nice quiet subdivision.

The owner's pet birds were noisy and you could hear them from upstairs. The facilities are a bit old and dated, but get the job done.

overall it was a great experience I would come back if ever we head to Vancouver again

very spacious room and we got 2 bed we didn’t expect a couple need only 1 bed but they gave us extra bed haha funny we don’t know what to do with other bed

I can hear the other people in other room talking I was hoping a soundproof room and the microwave keep shutting down

location is centralised, room is spacious and the heater system is warm.

there is kitchen with dining table photo appears on the website but the host said it is not for the visitors to share. kindly suggest the host delete the relevant photo as it is misleading.

Overall nice place but make sure you lock your room door and check that the fridge stays ON.

Arthur, the host, was very welcoming and accommodating.

Just a reminder that there are other people living in the house and it can get very noisy at night with all the doors squeaking and being slammed. Although Arthur was very lovely, there are others that may not be.

Overall was happy with my stay. The host is gracious which offset the issues of the hot weather.

A suitable breakfast on time each morning for a fair price, the room and the adjoining bathroom and toilet and the use of the adjacent lounge. The location is good too although it’s 500 metre walk to shops and any restaurants. The host is attentive to one’s needs.

Unfortunately I struck a very hot period so the lack of air conditioning was a challenge as was the sound of the air conditioning unit of the adjacent house situated right near the foot of the bed. I overcame this with the use of ear plugs.

A lovely home and attentive host

The room size is very spacious and clean. As it is a big house at residential area away from the crowd, the room is very quiet that I like it very much. It is plenty of space for you to place luggage. Bathroom is very clean though it is a bit dated. Amenity is sufficient. The host is a couple living at ground floor who are very nice and helpful. They are very attentive for your need.

Comfortable homestay

Quiet and peaceful. 10 mins walk to bus stop. The walk can be shortened to 3-4 mins to the bus stop if the host stressed clearly in advance the short cut. I depended alot on google to go places. The google map does not show unnamed road. The accommodation overall was comfortable and value for money. Arthur offered to drive me to the airport on departure for a small fee which I gladly accepted.

Doorbell was not working so stranded outside the house on arrival waited about 10mins. Luckily the host came back soon after. I was panicky already. Room is on 2nd floor. Have to climb the staircase. Have phobia for height and back problem.
