The hotel has a great location ; we had a wonderful view of the mountain from the window , and we could sit outside and enjoy our time
"On the first day, I noticed that the window was dirty. I asked for window cleaner at the reception and went to clean it myself. I wouldn't go into detail, but the next day, before leaving the hotel, we asked if they could vacuum our room. The guy said they were really busy that day and could only offer us the vacuum to clean it ourselves. I really didn't like that."

Great spot in Canmore with a convenient location near the Banff exit. It's ideal for exploring the lakes, visiting Banff, or simply enjoying the charming town of Canmore. The place offers bike rentals, board games, and more, plus it has a small pool for relaxing.
The rooms are cozy, compact, and comfortable, offering excellent value for the price. Each room also comes with a coffee machine, which is a nice touch.
There was a bit of noise from neighboring rooms due to the thin walls.

Proximity to the landmarks
Noise. Rooms are not sound proof, you can hear convos of the nearby rooms

Good location
Poor insulation from sound, window cranks that barely work, gaps under doors, VERY basic

A nice jacuzzi and front area with chairs to stay around. The staff was helpful, kind and respectful all the time. The location is great, as it is really close to Banff National Park.

Only location of the property.
Vintage property with no maintenance.

Old and not maintained property. Bathroom is small, bath tub stained, weak shower spray. Had to call plumber to get toilet to flush. Bed not comfortable. Definitely not worth $394 a night. I understand it is recently under new management and they are trying to fix the maintenance problems that have been left for the past seven years.

The facility was clean and pleasant. We loved the fact that there were clean plates and utensils in the kitchenette. We also loved the fact that the beds and linen were washed regularly and were comfortable and clean.
The location is central and very close to the highway. Further more it is close to Gas station and Tim Hortons.
There is ample parking spots available. It has a playground and a fireplace to sit and relax.
The bathroom was small, although we didn't use the pool and laundry I believe they deserve a makeover.
The room ground is made of wood so they can make a lot of creaking sounds when walking especially your neighbors if they are awake until 3 am and walk a lot

location
pricing and staff. Had to change rooms due to leaky fridge. I was asked to put towels on the wet floor with no offer to change rooms. staff did little to accommodate requests. Only received a change of towels after 1st night during a 4 day stay.

We like the pool provided on-site. The check-in staff was nice to let us know where are the available towels for the pool.
We like the log design of the motel. The beds are comfortable.
The glasses outside the swimming facility are not clean, we can't see the gorgeous mountain view of the Rundle Mountain Motel!
For guest safety reasons, I suggest a sign with No street shoes allowed inside the pool facility. You can offer the sale of flip-flops for guests because the walk to the pool is hot if walk by barefoot. The carpet leading to the pool was taken off with no warning sign.
The closets of our room need some lighting. So dark couldn't see the stuff we plan to put in there! We ended up leaving our stuff in the suitcases

lt was a little bit noisy during the nights (as walls are thin), not a big deal.

Staff, but still shouldn't have had to pay full price for a room that was not full value.
Room was way too hot, got up to 80F with ac on, only got down to about 74 by morning, way too hot. Never turned the fire place on but it was warm to the touch the throughout my stay, should be a way to turn it off for guests to reduce the heat.. the walls were visibly dirty, tv didn't work, trash was left in the drawers from prior guests... etc.
Yellow walls was a huge design fail. Light bulbs were not even in the washroom ei 2 white, 1 warm light. One lamp had a missing light bulb..
Multiple jets popped out when the jets were turned on... pretty unsettling. Complimentary lotion was already used and only had a small amount left. For the amount paid, I expected a quality room that has been well maintained between guests. Entry staircase was unfinished wood with visible nails. Pretty unsettling.

heating was excellent and room was nice and warm. bathrooms were clean with lots of towels. good size double bed for two people.
there was hair in the bed sheet - wish that wasn't the case. also after hours phone number was not available on website or anywhere. it was confusing to get a hold of someone as the after hours telephone itself was not working and confused us. booking also did not show up on their end, so checking in as much more confusing since nobody called to ask when our arrival would be (as we were coming off a delayed flight and could not contact the lodge)
