How clean and elegant it felt inside of the hotel and the history behind it.
The only complaint we had were the small amount of outlets, because we had to unplug stuff bedside to charge our phones.

i loved the location and how nice the building was! definitely going to be my go to place

Staff, location and facilities
The pet fee is much over any other hotel we have been in 6 years... 125 usd plus tax is even more expensive than the room... this should be changed
4.2
Location was centre of city. Lots on our doorstep. Large room
Very slow check in only 1 person on.

Renovations were very nice... Music in bar was a relaxing way to unwind.
Shower water went from hot to cold to very hot. Room was very small. Coffee Bar help was not friendly... lots of hair...

I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times. Location is perfect.
Renovations need to be done to the rooms!

The location for downtown San Antonio attractions was excellent. The room was spacious and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The front desk was extremely accommodating.
The room was a little musty smelling. We attributed that to the age of the hotel.

Location!! The Alamo is right outside the entrance to the hotel coffee shop. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I had a red eye flight to San Antonio for a conference and arrived at the hotel at 6am. The lobby has very nice, comfortable (big) furniture so waiting is pleasant. There are several clusters of seating throughout the first floor/lobby/coffee shop area. The check in clerk gave me an early check in so I could go sleep!! The building is older and has a historic, cozy vibe. It smells good inside! A fresh smell. The hotel has an on-site restaurant that is open late. They also have outdoor seating. The Crockett Tavern also features live music! The coffee shop has blueberry muffins that taste AMAZING!!
The pool is smaller and the location is in a bit of an awkward spot in relation to the hotel and parking area but it wasn’t a deal killer for me. If you have small children or want to spend a good chunk of your time at the pool, this probably won’t cut it for you.

location, cocktails
bathroom in poor condition, office chair very uncomfortable, could hear noisy people in lobby throughout the night, unsecured Wi-Fi

Location
Lunch/ bar feel cool services was rude.

A fantastic location and great staff. The nearby tavern with local music and food was excellent, a special experience. Went to a Spurs game-- fun time. The Missions outside of town are beautiful and worth visiting. San Antonio is a great city full of Latin American culture.
Partiers outside the hotel went until sunrise and the room had a loud mechanical equipment noise-- $5 soda, cheaper vending machines did not work. The riverwalk was a crowded tourist trap. Late night Christian street preaching was annoying.

walking distance to Alamo
The bathroom needs upgrading. the tub spout constantly dripping the day we check in, feels like we had a woodpecker living in that room. The dripping water very noisy. the sink drainage not draining properly. I had to fix the drainage so at least the water would drain properly. I reported the issue to the front desk but no one came up to check the issue.

room was as expected. Convenient location
Short staffed

it is located within walking distance of the river walk and the Alamo. the staff was friendly and helpful. plenty of restaurants close by.
the hotel did not have a place to eat a good breakfast.

in walking distance to the River Walk, restaurants, shopping, great food on site,&staff was very friendly. We’ll be back.
our room was on the Alamo side, & with the construction it was a bit noisy
4.2
Great location next to the Alamo and downtown attractions. Comfortable rooms and the new Crockett Tavern has really good food and some great entertainment.
It been a problem for many years that their hot water delivery to rooms is not good at all. Water temp goes from and cold as it can get to burning your skin and these conditions are long lasting if you do not constantly adjust the water valve. When you do, you'll likely end up with water that is way too hot or cold once you get to a spot that you think is right for you.

Margaret, (hope I got it right, she answered when I called to inform her I would be arriving late) was perfectly delightful, Gilbert, the Front desk greeter, and A wonderful lady who helped us find our snacks after check out! (She did more than that) These three exude customer service! The rooms are beautiful and clean! Environmental aid is on top of their job. Pride noted! The valet workers are exceptional! I am humbly grateful for all of the care and friendliness! May GOD continue to Richly Bless you.
